    Q5 Heater Element Recall 80C5

Yahh I herd it was an all day job, mine is in good Friday, they are giving me a car so if it does take longer I will at least have something to get about in. I trust they have managed to put all your dash back together with no issues or rattles? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Q5 Heater Element Recall 80C5

Hi Guys I logged into MYAudi this evening to check if the recent service had been updated. When I logged in I got the message "A-Replacing heater element 80C5" I think this is something to do with an Auxillary Heater, has anyone else had this Recall done or know whats involved ? Cheers Mark

See if you are affected by the emissions scandal...

So it appears that my 2ltr tdi is on the naughty list, whilst I appreciate its a wait and see what they do to fix it, what if I am wanting to sell the car in the mean time. I have already had one person back out of the sale and another offer substantially less because of the uncertainty.

    Advice

Not really at the point of naming and shaming just thought I would pose a question to see if I was being a little over the top with my expectations, give them their due they have asked for a week to sort it, however the excitement of a new car has been diluted with dissapointment with today's visit.

    Advice

I have no issues with the fact black cars are a ball ache, I do however feel that the standard of finish when spending 17k from a main dealer should be higher than what was presented. Maybe I am expecting too much?

    Advice

I have been looking at local detailers and agree I can get the car fixed, however I have to give them chance to sort it, hopefully they will, if not I will ask for more off the car to get the job done locally by a professional detailer, I did say to them on numerous occasions unless the body...

    Advice

Yahh I understand it's a used car however would you pay nearly 17k if the car paint finish looked similar (not quite as bad) to this Reflectology: Honda Civic Permanon Detail - Detailing World

Brakes all round ! what would you recommend?

If you were thinkn of using the steelers the price you were quoted should include pads too as per this link on Audi's website "Brake pads & discs (front or rear) £259" x2 £518 However its probably a lot cheaper to go to a specialist

    Hello from Sheffield

Hi All Been lurking around the forum for a couple of weeks now and can see this an excellent place for Knowledge and Idea's. Hi Mike, you seem pretty sure about that :-) Dont doubt your experience but I would like to be double sure B4 splashing out £260. I suppose the best way to be double sure is to take my air bag off? To do this, I dare say there is a procedure?

Cheers for the pointers Wez, I take it I have to remove the cowling from the steering column to gain access to the rear of the wheel. Already got Cruise, would not mind having the phone prep installed too but have no idea what parts are needed for that.
