I think you are talking about a flat sheet of mesh vs. a grill. A flat sheet of mesh is almost as much as the price of a second grill to cut up and it doesn't have the curvature and angles to the mesh that mesh out of a grill has. It would end up being a lot harder to fit and wouldn't look...

I think the merc centers look good although if you haven't seen them before you might consider the Mercedes AMG Affalterbach centercaps, I think the silver ones would look good on your car and wheels.

3M makes a product, but honestly, I'd take it to a high end detailing shop that could wet sand the clear and respray it to match if you want it to be seamless.
