Hi guys - looking to get a b8 and would prefer the 2.0tfsi but my budget is £9.5k so they are out of my price range so looking at the 1.8tfsi 160bhp instead.
I've looked into it and it looks like they can map to around 210 bhp and 230lbs of torque... My question is how does this transfer to...
Hi guys - looking into getting an Audi A5 - with a budget of about 11.5k my requirements are under 100k miles, manual, 2.0tfsi - I'd like the 208 Quattro but will struggle to find one in my budget.
My main question is what are the differences between the 177 and 208bhp engines? Are the...
Hi guys - finally decided that when I start looking for my b6 cabriolet I'll be getting the 1.8t 163 engine. Now after iv been browsing here for a few weeks there seem to be a lot of issues with the b6 engines... This might be down to age but what are the common issues to watch out for?
I'll be...
This has been useful guys I won't be looking to buy until the end of February but I'm leaning towards the 1.8t - it has good tuning potential and considering I only do a 26 mile round trip with 50% country roads and 50% town driving I won't really feel the benefit of the diesel assuming the...
Hi all,
I am currently looking into buying a audi a4 (b6) cabriolet around February/march time and I'm still undecided on the 1.8t or 2.5tdi engine. Either way I will be remapping the ecu as they arent really quick as standard. I'm just looking for info from you guys who have remapped these...
Thanks for all the replies guys whilst I am still undecided between the 1.8 and the 2.5 it's been really useful... I'm leaning towards the 1.8 is love the better mpg in the 2.5 but I think iv had enough of listening to a diesel for a while.
Looking at spending around 4k I think the 1.8t with a good remap sounds like the best option... A remap will give the power of the 3.0 and the torque of the 2.5tdi with a good sound and fuel consumption... 1.8t it is :)
The s4 is out of my price range... Is the a4 engine completely different from the Tt engine since the Tt produces more power? It's between the 1.8 and tdi then
Hi all,
I am currently looking at replacing my Honda Civic 2.2 Diesel with an Audi A4 Cabriolet but I am struggling to decide which engine to go for. It seems there are 4 engines the 1.8t, 2.4, 3.0 and the 2.5 Diesel. I am ruling out the 2.4 straight away - seems to be a bit of a pointless...
Hi Guys - firstly I hope this is in the right section think this is a B6 [*-)]
anyway, does anyone know what bodykit is on the car in the below link? The ad says its a 'Audi Avantgarde bodykit' but I cant find any info on this
Audi A4 1.8T Sport 4dr Saloon 2001
this is sounding more promising! definitely going to test drive a stock one but think It would be difficult to find one already remapped.
I dont expect it to be a racing car just hoping it packs enough punch to keep a smile on my face which with a few choice mods I think i could manage.
Interesting... which dealer is this as for sale?
Did you own the car when it was remapped? If I could get it close to 200 with a remap I think I would be more than happy! If the online specs can be trusted the Audi would be just under a second slower to 60 than my celica which I think the extra...
thanks for the replies guys!
I am hoping to test drive one at the weekend - unfortunately I think you're right. It's probably a bit too lumpy to what I am used to, I was hoping the diesel would pack a bit more punch and it's a shame because they are gorgeous cars... I may have to go back to the...
hi guys!
I'm looking to replace my Toyota Celica (below) and I am considering an A4 2.5 TDI Cabriolet. Originally I wanted to swap the Celica for something with a bit more punch but at the same time returns better MPG figures and when I first spotted the A4 with a 2.5 diesel I though I'd...
