    Rev counter needle below zero

    Had the alternator fail the other day and car died on flat battery whilst driving. All now fixed and faults cleared via VAGCOM but the rev counter needle now sits below zero when ignition off and is reading about 500 rpm less when car is running, anyone have a fix or experience with this problem?
