I've a 1.8T Sport auto FL and that has the tiptronic 5 speed. If you don't have tiptronic gate then it'll be a 4 speed. Mine does 2750 rpm in 5th at 70. 80 is just touching 2900. HTH

Personally, I prefer the OZs but then each to their own.... I think the 3SDMs are "marmite" wheels :indecisiveness:

+1 with Aragorn and Mike B.... it's the stat. My 1.8T was doing this and changed the stat twice to fix it. ECP sell Circoli and Behr....... avoid Circoli at ALL costs. New stat then stuck open. Replaced it with one from Andrew Page...... 4.99 all in. Gauge is bang on now and heaters hotter than...

Hi on my 1.8T APU engine A4, I've tried to find a tool for removing the small vacuum hose clips that have like a triangular shape to them and seem to be mostly around the top of the air filter. I've done a small search on here without success. Does anyone know how to remove them without cutting...

OK I have now had the 'stat replaced and all is well with the world. Temp gauge climbs steadily to 90 and sits there. Bottom hose is hot. It was obviously a faulty brand new 'stat. Thanks all for your help.

Hi MikeB, I checked the hot engine this morning. The bottom hose is cold....... My garage rang this morning and can't do the work until Wednesday. luckily I am away and have lost garage space otherwise i'd have a crack at it myself :(
