hi all, was carrying out some welding to my 2004 2.0tdi BKD A3 at the weekend so i disconected the battery for a couple of hours. now ive put it back on everything works, bar the unlock button on my key fob. ive tried reprograming the key using the manual instructions but that hasnt worked. both...
yes i had a vw before and the key fob is the same isnt it? but that key fob worked 100% times better. plus its both key fobs that are faulty so thats what makes me belive theirs something not right.
does the key fob definatley only take one CR 2032 at 3v ?

yes it does work under 5 meters as long as you are in the right position around the car. it is just the bad signal thats stopping it from working properly

i bought the car 2 months ago and its been just as bad since i bought it. only got round to looking at it this week. it works from around 5 meters intermitently.
bringing up an old thread here, but ive just changed my batterys in my key fobs today as the signal was really bad on both of them. the battery i took out of each was 1 x CR2032. i put it all back together and it was just as bad.
i was woundering is the fob supposed to have 2 of the flatter...
