Hi,
Are there any significant gains to be made from de-catting the 115 PD engine?
Is it better to buy a new de-cat specific pipe or simply rake the ****e out of the current cat?
Also, I know it can't be done in situe if you want to rake the box out rather than buy a straight pipe so could...
Hey guys and gals, I would like to make a plug for a company I have just started writing for. We are called STYLE Checkpoint and essentially gather the latest independent stores, brands and general cool stuff and put it all in one place. We are currently on Facebook but have a website that is...
The bottom pipe may be the same but you wouldn't notice as the oil isn't burning off the turbo as it drips on. I use braided oil lines on my mk2 golf, partly because its not standard and partly because they are shiney and look nice. A good hydraulic pipe shop (one in most industrial areas of the...
For the record, taking an engine past 110 degrees for a while isn't too bad. Just not Ideal. MK1 and MK2 golfs seem to hit 120 on a track day and will carry on all day before the owner thinks about an oil cooler before the next outing. Hell, mine runs at a constant 100 and has no issues.
Here to help haha, sorry they are (in my opinion) the single most annoying problem on the roads at the moment. I do alot of night driving between edinburgh and Leics so often find myself heading up to a roundabout/set of bends and having to drop to 20mph cos I cant see what the hells going on...
I don't want to sound harsh but.... improper HIDs are for complete twats, sure you can see where you are going but you dazzle and irritate every other road user and cause danger to them. Imo even most cars with HIDs as standard dont self level nearly quick enough.
Right, so the overhang appears to be around 25mm max. I have spoken to a few people who have said lowering a car usually drags the wheel in a little. Does anyone know how much a 50mm drop will drag in the wheel? If its only 10mm that would mean running a stretched tyre in combo should make me...
Ok, so after actually thinking about this properly.... surely the obvious solution would be a set of arches off an early A6 allroad? The arches cant be too different accross the lager audis from 2000? The would just trim down no? Anyhow, here is a photopoop of a set of allroad arches. You lot...
Now to find some universal arches that dont require riveting to the wing but instead either stick on via the same type of non paint damaging solvent that holds on car badges or 'clip' to the section under the arch that is normally 'rolled' when you have your arches done. Anyone have any ideas?
They have an ET of 24, which isnt great for the audi. But it would be great for a slammed audi with lovely arches. The tyres on at the moment are 235s so I would need to run some serious stretch to make em work, which aint gonna happen.
