    DSG - Not Quite Perfect

My 2007 3.2 is fitted with a DSG box & I thought it was a marriage made in Heaven, Auto on my motorway runs & boring day to day stuff, Manual at most other times, & Sport (or is 'S' for smile?) when I fancy having a play. Found a huge short coming today though. Heavy rain meant plenty of deep...

What are the smallest wheels I can fit to my 3.2?

I agree with 17's. Did read a report not long ago in one of the motoring mags that implied winter tyres were only realy a major benefit on RWD cars. Any one else see this?

How to remove and replace A3 (2004) o/s headlight bulb?

Changed mine the other day, 2007 so presume the same housing. There is a snap on cover on the back of the headlight housing that unclips to give access to the bulb holders. As Flying Oyster says, it is an advantage to have small hands & long fingers, though I managed OK with my stumpy little...

Thinking about purchasing an Audi A3 8P, need some advice....

Drinks V-Power at a rate of knots, but the howl of that V6 as it climbs towards the red line makes it worth every penny. I also agree it's a wee bit nose heavy, but only really feel it when pushing hard through the twisties. Overtaking is a no brainer, couple of flicks of the left hand paddle...

    3.2 owners! mpg question...

On my run to work, 85 miles on A-Road, Dual Carriage Way, & M-Way, 26/28 mpg (possibly a wee bit above the speed limit here & there mind you ). Around the lanes at home, 16/18 mpg. Worth every single penny spent on V-Power & around £3k in pocket for fuel vouchers over buying an equivalent S3.

    New S3 owner questions...

Do the paddle changes work when you're in 'D' (they can be used to over ride the auto on the DSG which then switches back to auto after a period of inactivity) as opposed to sliding the stick to the left for full manual mode & just using the paddles to change gear?

    RS3 Body kit anyone!?

Does it honestly look any worse than the actual RS3? You've got to admit that the RS3 isn't the best looking car Audi have ever designed....Though a 3 door S-Line version, black/black, sat on 19" multi-spokes, with buckets, may be a bit more tempting.

    Another Bulb Thread

Love my 3.2 V6 though not overly impressed with the standard headlights, would like Xenons but can't be bothered with the retro fit hassles & expense. After much reading I have invested in a pair of Philips Extreme Vision +100% H7's, anyone tried them? Was tempted by the Diamond Visions, love...

    My New Toy

Easy answer mate, didn't really like the power delivery of the S3 and found it droned a bit at motorway speeds; as for the RS3, sorry to say but think it's over priced & ugly as sin. As for available funds....Have a hankering for an old F355 as a weekend toy, we shall see.

    My New Toy

Thanks for the welcome guys & girls. To answer a couple of comments regarding the AM V8....Too big around the country lanes, horrendous running & service costs, not overly fun to drive, & it ain't that quick. The A3 with V6 & DSG does everything I need for less than a third of the price.

    My New Toy

Hi all After several months of driving everything from an Evo X to AM V8 Vantage in my hunt for a replacement for my aging wreck I finally settled on the sensible option and bought this. Apart from now being on first name terms with all petrol station staff within a 20 mile...
