You do not need a powerful one just for the car but I am happy with Nilfisk 130 I went for which also does a good job on patio and brickwork as well. I would advise to try and get one with a longer hose, 9m or so - so much easier...
Allroad wheels are 25 offset, standard 225x55x17 tyres on a 17" rims. You can go as much as 19" with say 40 profile tyres. With 26 offset wheels and 235 wide tyres I had to use a 10mm spacer. This nicely brought them out closer to arches as a result as well. if you want to use newer wheels with...
You will need to disassemble it, once piston comes out you will see if there are any signs of corrosion inside the bore. Over time they tend to corrode inside and seize until stop moving, perhaps that's what happened to yours. If that's the case do other side as well.
Ok Andrew. Do you think there is an issue with one of the injector nozzles which caused your failure?
I think to stay safe and reliable 250bhp is max you would want from these engines without asking for trouble.
If I was closer I would have sway bars off you.
Hi Andrew,
So do you have an idea of what was the issue with not getting all this kit to work together properly?
I need injectors but probably won't be any good to me without having rest of bits as those nozzles would be to big for mild upgrade I suspect.
Tom.
From others feedback who tried this, I would say you might as well get a normal a6 to tinker with suspension. I think most of the guys who tried did not like the end result, the way the car performed after the conversion. It not an easy mod. Or you could just get stiffer antiroll bars to tighten...
The 3.0 tfsi appears to only return about 25mpg looking at the official figures and allowing a bit of tolerance, is that about right in real life once they reach 100k miles plus? Does appear to be cracking motor though, assuming these engines are decent?
Manual boxes react differently to added power, I would say you would either need a map with more low-end torque or gearbox remap too. Main issue is it upshifts sooner than before remap which is a problem in top gears unless you floor it or use tip mode.
Are the lower arms OEM? They seem rather well worn for 25k. My mistake was to put some less known top links (dont even remember the brand), 15k later they are simillar to your lowers...
Have you scanned with VCDS, as other readers might not pick up all faults. It is weird that both front and rear are down on one side?
Possible more leaks, but looks like there is something else here.
There is a good thread on these issues over at VwAudi forum, might get more clues over there...
Yes, I've been trying to sort this for a while now and there are no codes to start with, as everything else works as should.
Last time I've run output tests on HVAC and relays appear to work fine also when on test it does turn the fan on/off fine.
As I've no fan controller but resistor plate...
How long it takes to change level? If approx 15-20 seconds I would say is fine and quiet operation is a good sign, you should still hear it running though without any weird noises.
Have you VCDS to see if there are any faults stored?
Thanks for that it is nice to know, I hope their quality is good otherwise it will be many hours wasted messing about if they do not perform as should...
Will be interesting to see how they run on yours ;)
Out of curiosity how is Blacksmoke map under 2000rpm, does the car pull well without...
