Just a couple of pics of where i'm at just now. Still waiting on buying a turbo, how long is it ok to leave the engine in this state bearing in mind it all has assembly lube on it?
It won't physically go any further as that's it with the quarter turn added, but once you get a wee doubt it's hard to ignore...lol
Yeah seen that billet version, with 6 holes for the damper, thate got me para as well now need to locktite my damper bolts on now!

Cheers
Small update on the engine front, been waiting an age for a parcel to be delivered so I could get on with the build and it arrived today
Once I had my piston ring sleeve I set about building up the bottom end. i fitted my crank and torqued up to spec and when I span it I could hear a rubbing...
Its a 2.1l 9.5 cr je 83mm pistons, ie rods, head ported and polished by Andrew with supertech inconel exhaust and nitrided intake valves 3-groove, supertech spring and retainers
I've looked at tufftys build but Im looking at the turbo being able to provide 400 as a sort of base level, to be more accurate I'm looking for capable of 500+ bhp even tho I might not take it to that level.
I've been try to choose a turbo for my stroker set up, I've been speaking briefly to owensdevelopments and they've suggested a few options.
I'm looking for 400-500+bhp and was thinking of a gtx3076 or a hta m-spec gt3076 from Owens, but after speaking to them that suggested going for the...
Just received my bottom end back from the balancer today everything looks good except my fluidampr its a little bit chewed around the edge, not going to be an issue but a bit annoying at the same time!
I then found out my main bearing clearance and found everything to around 1.6 thou which I...
You will have trouble tracing it as it goes up into the back of the speedo clock and then to the abs sensor, so I would try either by-passing the clock and taking a wire right from the diagnostic port to the abs plug, its a pain in the **** I had to splice into it so make sure your happy you...
if I remember right that means that the ecu can see the abs controller just cant talk to it if you know what I mean...I piggybacked a long length of wire from the diagnosis wire also called the k-line its the grey/white wire in the diagnostic port connector to the same grey/white wire in the abs...
it might well be but for the effort of checking continuity in the wiring, will save spending money on a part that's not needed I found this out to my cost twice lol
I had something similar to this and it turned out to be a wire that had frayed through in the bundle running to the abs wiring plug, I suggest you get a multimeter and wiring diagrams and go from there. Do you have full version vcds? if you go into the engine module and measuring blocks, go to...
yeah I emailed them a while ago, and mentioned your dealings with them, hopefully they sort it out for you soon!
was considering their turbo line kit, but am looking at various hardline options trying to decide is hard man! see what your opinion is when you get yours
