Not quite sure why you are attempting this? The a3 quattro has the same hubs as the s3
Whats exactly is your reason for this "conversion"

You not concerned about the reason behind using leak fix? I once turnt down another a4tqs for £800 last year as it had signs of leak fix but the lad said it was a leaky rad. I kinda belived him but just didnt want the risk
The cars still going now and refuses to sell it... Gutted

For the sake of £30 it'll be qorth doing for sure as its quiet well that the bits are 15 years old.
As a note... Its quite well that the mc is letting by pressure slow enough to give you a firm pedal that degrades as the pressure builds in the mc.

Glad to see it back on the road. Remember the first build well... Numbers look good. Not that im able to do any tuning like you. But from what your saying getting over 370 from previous set up looks like it'll go to plan... Excuse me as i havent read all of this thread. If any of the above...
Most will state 5/30 but i think 5/40 is better. Personally i think 30 weight is to thin if your driving the car hard.
Ive never had an issue on 5/40. I'd love to knoe numbers on oil pressures..

Well i have to have the car on jack stands tomorrow to replace the sump. So going to check the subframe bolts and steering rack bolts. But also jist ordered new coilovers and already have new bearings and top mounts.
If it dont stop after that... Itll be subframe bushes/rack and tie rods...
Been offered a smf kit which is from a eairly a3 quattro 5 speed with a dxw box.
Am i right in saying a o2m box that is fitted to the s3 8l the exact same box but with 6 gears...
I read the dxw box has a spacer in place of where the 6 gear would be later on. So thus everything else ie. Input...
As above... Ive been pondering... Possible that its a wheel bearing? Or steering rack bolts come loose?.... Possible play in the rack
Come to think of it I had a ford focus with the same issue... The brass bushing that the rod comes out of both side in the rack was worn allowing movement...
Knock is intermittent not always happening in the same scenario. So may not knock going full lock or change of direction. Or mid corner... But generally will knock some how every time
