Just a quick update this this thread, got the a3 a few weeks ago and have been trying to fix a few bits and pieces but at a complete novice its been a bit of a :think: at times..some great info kicking about this site though so cheers everyone :yum:
first thing mechanical in any way i tried...
I also had/have a similar sound when travelling for a bit, the sound stops when the brakes are applied so thought it was maybe an issue with them, took both front wheels off and wd40' all moving joints and bearings and since then the problem has decreased
The headlights and indicators are all contained in the one unit..
Would try wet and dry sandpaper method but looks like an electrical buffer would be needed to do a proper job,
the reason i want to change the fronts is that the drivers side is condensation filled with a water stain on the inside...
Thinking about changing headlights but in the meantime may look to tidy up exisisting ones..
Is it possible to buy just the clear plastic from the front of the headlight to replace?

Will all s3/a3 headlight models fit my 2000 A3?

Nope havent checked for error codes what program is recommended?
Have had the wheel off and had a look bit im a bit of a novice so dont really know what I am looking for :sadlike:, will try some WD40 to see if it helps..
Oil light has now gone of so may be an electrical...
