Good stuff, glad you got it solved... I basically was feeling around under the battery and popped a grommet which let the water drain so never saw the layout but was well glad to get rid of the water.
I think that is the same one as I removed, looking at it seems the right dimensions, but tbh i didn't even see it as I pushed it inwards and left it there.. I guess if the water drains then that is problem solved..... What is that dot in the middle.?
Mine was full of water and I did the exact same as you removing the grommet under the battery and the water drained away. I think there is another one on the opposite side under the break servo..
Hey Phil,
Don't know bout the convertibles but I had an a4 B7 until fairly recently. Car had wet carpet in front passenger footwell after loads of rain; cause: blocked bulkhead drains up front under the battery due to pine needles blocking them; I live in a forest, lol! Cleared drains, by...
I had the same car. Is it the orange/yellow oil warning light that is coming on? This is the low engine oil level warning and as the light is intermittent it may be a faulty sensor but I would get it quickly checked. There is also a red warning light which is the low engine oil pressure. If this...
I had this on my a4, like you say, water sloshing on cornering then entered the car under the passenger footwell. Pop the rubber bung under the battery and leave it out...but do it ASAP. I left mine for a bit and ended up flooding the passenger footwell after very heavy rain and needed a new...
agreed, get away from long life servicing and change oil and filter regularly..it is the life blood of the car. i do mine every 12,000 miles as standard.
Mine was a 2007 2.0TDI 170PS a4 and I was contacted by AUDI/VOSA a few weeks back recalling the car for injectors. Seeing as i sold the car back in April 2012 I declined their kind offer. . . . I also had the hex shaft issue. And the egr valve issue. And the blocked bulkhead drains issue...
What ever the cause don't be driving the car around with a low oil pressure warning. Get it diagnosed asap.. Don't take the chance and end up like so many others on here...
Yeah, nightmare thing to get out! I posted about this water in the bulkhead issue on the 2.0TDI injector thread in April⦠reason being I had my car booked into audi for the injector/loom service campaign but had the water come into the car so had to cancel the injector appointment to put the...
Get the water out ASAP...mine filled up during a huge rain storm and got into the car. Water collected under the passenger footwell and fried the CCM....costly. I tried to remove the battery but couldnt get it past the wipers so in the end simply pushed the rubber bung completely inwards and...
well, got latest in a long line of issues sorted. new comfort control ecu and loads drying out and car running again. had enough by now so didn't bother with injector replacement; got rid of car straight away so now a merc driver.
thanks to all who have posted on this thread and indeed this...
Another rant here.! I had mine booked in with franchise dealer for next week for injectors and loom check/replacement if necessary they say. Only just got the car back from body shop after someone drove into the side of it couple months back, lol. However, and I know I am drifting off-thread...
Evening all
I got a message from my local audi dealership today, as I missed the call, stating that there was a recall on my vehicle for the injectors to be replaced..triggered I suspect by the fact the break fluid was due for replacement as the recall bit was tagged on at the end of the...
