Yeah it would be interesting to know how much genuine ones are since "cheap ones" on eBay cost about £160! By the way I ve just decided that black lowers on a light coloured car create the illusion of being closer to the ground..
yeah thanks for the info mate, you wouldnt have a photo with the blades on before colour coding would you? is there any drilling involved to fit the blades?
in my opinion blades should be colour coded when fitted on cars with colour coded lowers, but have not really seen any cars with black / grey lowers wearing black / grey blades. i know q james has them on his avant but the car being dark grey makes the whole thing blend in. my car is light...
this may sound a bit wierd but i wonder how it would have looked like if you had not colour coded your lowers but still added black door blades? i am assuming the blades come in black, possibly quite similarly coulored to the lowers. i am sure i have seen black blades on colour coded cars before...
I think I ve got the same problem - the car most of the time starts first time but sometimes it just won't fire up. When I put my lights on, initially it sounds like it won't fire up again, but eventually (after 4-5 turns) it does - but still very hesitantly.. Is this the behaviour others are...
just thought (this mind sound silly due to the fact that we are talking about different models anyway, B5-B6) would the perches need to be model specific too? could i fit perches of a diesel B5 on my B6 petrol?
Good luck for tomorrow, looking forward to see the results. See what you think when Eibachs are fitted, If you feel perches are needed you can go for them too
When mine stopped working it was due to a faulty clutch switch. Remove the panel above the pedals (under the steering wheel). There are two switches above the clutch pedal, the one on the right should be White if original switch, mine was blue. I removed the connector and used a paper clip to...
forgot to mention that improving the handling is also one of my main objectives. although i find the ride comfortable, going through corners enthousiastically could make you feel a bit sea sick at the moment. finding the right balance of ride comfort / good handling / aggresive stance is very...
quattrojames: thanks for confirming, it sounds like i ll also be going down the aftermarket route. considering that TPS quoted £260 for a sports springs set, aftermarket is by far the most economical option too.
deanski: on your 'before' photo it seemed that your front end was sitting maybe a...
Deanski: Yeah i like the new stance, i dont want to go too low because i live in Sheffield and the road quality around here is crap.
You said its now gone a little lower, would you have a recent photo now they 've settled? What is the ride like compared to the SE - obviously going to be harder...
my 2.0 FSI will do typically 500miles with 65 litres - mainly city driving but a bit of motorway too. i have to admit i dont drive it as enthusiastically as i used to drive my subaru though
thanks for the advice
i ll keep looking for a set of sports although they are hard to find at sensible money
quattrojames: looking forward to see the difference your new springs make!
Hi guys
I have got an A4 SE with 17 inch alloys and as you can probably imagine it sits too high up. I am looking into lowering it about 30-35mm but want to do it as economically as possible without loosing too much of the comfort the SE suspension provides. Could i just swap the SE springs for...
