I did notice the car only jerks once for a split moment between 1800 - 2000 revs and then its fine...Maybe it happens when the engine is cold?

I've been wiggling the damn thing side to side with wd40 and it doesn't seem to pop off. I did notice it feels abit loose so i'll keep trying. Do i have to remove the rubber gromet or do i leave that where it is?

what about the DPF issues? I like to see what Audi say about that? my dpf warning light came on a couple of days ago and now gone but its just a matter of time when it comes back on and then will need replacing!

At first i thought it was me the way am driving the car. sulzer_mike does your car feel like the power gets stuck for a split second? Does your car shake for a couple of seconds on idle? It only seems to happen now and again when the cars stationary.

Sorry to bring this thread up but i seem to have the same issue. I've currently have the dpf in place and managed to remove the warning light by driving couple of miles holding the rev between 2k - 3k and warning light gone(soon will come on again). So what causes the flat spot between 1800 -...

Its gone bonkers! Am going to check if the water isn't getting blocked thats causing this issue

I guess i need a new wiper motor maybe?

My rear wiper on my audi a3 has decided to play up. When i activate the rear wiper it operates fine and then decides to get stuck and once i flick the wiper indicator arm it starts operating again? I've also noticed the rear wiper will come on when its off? Any ideas on what can be causing this?

Sorry I heard from a different member that you couldn't remap the 170pd engines with the dpf in place...oh well aleast you clarified that :)

Let me guess that excludes audi a3 tdi 170 pd engines?? I dont understand why they cant remap the 170 pd engines where as other companies can without any problems?!? any input awesome gti

hmm..If its your starter motor best thing to do is when it struggles to start smack the starter motor and if the engine fires up then its defo the starter motor. If its not the starter motor i will Certainly have the glow plug/module inspected :uhm:

Hiya Mate Just to clarify does it only struggle to start on the 1st attempt in the morning? correct Do you get the strong diesel smell all the time or just in the morning? If its all the time and it smells like strong burning diesel it can be the glow plug module/glow plugs I had the same issue...
