Thanks for the replies guys.....
It actually looks alot like the garage my old RS4 ended up at, i spoke to the guy who bought it. He got a bargain but the car had a load of kerbing and a couple of scratches that defo werent there when i chopped it in!
The search continues, armed with code...
Hi Guys,
Ive not been on here for a long time, I am now Audi-less and looking to change that. Im in the hunt for a cheapish S3, does anyone know this car?
2002 Audi S3 QUATTRO 3DR [225] FULLY LOADED-LEATHER 1.8 | eBay
I have asked for the mileage but I am still dubious....
Thanks guys
cheers buddy, allthough its quite likely ill be in spain 'working'....
plus the RS4 is spending a week in the garage having loads of work done under warranty - but either way let me know!
You do like a rant dont you! :p
I think these cars are in the position where they are getting on a bit (mine was 14yrs old) but aren't in the position of becoming a 'modern classic' just yet. At the same time i imagine that in 10yrs time the one everyone will want is the S3 and the poor old...
I've just been catching up on this thread... (god theres alot of posts!) im a bit gutted that i didnt read it earlier, im only down the road from r-tech. if i had of known you were up there last sat i might have popped up to have a look at your beast.....
I used to live in leamington, moved to coundon a couple of weeks ago - A red B5 RS4 avant (debadged)
give me a beep and a flash (of your headlights) if you spot me!
i had a cracking night in coventry, my rs4 with near bald rear tyres had plenty of traction but just a tad of oversteer! i can imagine alot of idiots forgetting that 4wd wont help you stop any better!
i had previously stuck my winter wheels from my former a3 1.8T on the gf's seat ibiza, so much...

Its very very rare to find anything higher and a 'proper' circuit - we use trackdays as cheap test days in the race car (mainly to get me some...
as said above - if your intention is to effectively put front brakes all round then i wouldn't really advise it. the servo/booster might not be able to handle the extra hydraulic area never mind the fact that you will hit the brakes hard and swap ends very easily.....
I have run even brake...
Im enjoying reading this thread. Ive found this forum reasonably tame (most of the time). I used to frequent a classic audi forum and it used to kick off regularly!
Firstly i like the willingness to help on this forum, especially helping newbies - thats rare in my experience.
I completely...
I managed to knock a few quid off the asking price. I did stick a reader on the car and it showed no faults, but i might take it to someone like R-tech to check it over.
Cheers for the advice i will check over the warranty etc before i sign on the dotted line on tues. I will also register as...
I'm the same as you mate, my dream car..... I've wanted one since I first saw them - I'm now just lucky enough that I can afford one (just!)
I'll have to bring it down to a meet, i dont think im a million miles away from you - i would never have brought the green a3, just not tidy enough
i will admit i am a fan.
Also apologies, looks like i got a bit trigger happy on the copy and paste - that pic of the S1 shouldnt be there!
If only i owned that too......
