no one else towed with theres?

thinking of putting a tow bar on my a3 1.8t stage one revo to pull my caravan its only light 750kg dont like the idea of having a towbar hanging out the back of the car though, has anyone fitted a detachable one? Are they any good at towing? Regards Tom

managed to get it back on pressed it fast few times again maybe faulty stalk as you say as i tried the same yesterday and had no joy.. Ohwell least its sorted for now.. Thanks

when i started my a3 the other day the fuel light was on but the, outside temp, mpg and radio station doesnt come on its as if i have turned it off using the reset button but i have tried to get it to come back on but it wont, is this a common problem? Is there an easy fix? Regards Tom

cheers for the help. i havnt done couple hunerd miles yet soon as i have if its no better i will take it all apart again and make sure its spick and span then torque to above not torqued to "****** tight"

haha i tightened it till i couldnt anymore really just gave it a good nip and its yellow in colour cant say i realised they were different..

My original rubber bush was past its best could feel the engine rocking when i came on and off the accellerator. I changed it today for powerflex polyurathane bush its a a3 1.8t. Hi there i am new to this bit of the forum, i have a a3 1.8t stage one revo ect but my dad has a 2004 s4 cabby, with tiptronic gearbox. has about 60k onit. Do these have a haldex that needs to be serviced like the s3's? Or any oils that should be changed apart from the engine? Regards Tom

i love my a3 1.8t! They have always got to be worth a grand havnt they?! I had a gttdi mk4 golf and must say its a better car than that was allthough they have same running gear ect i just think they are built a little bit better!
