Peak of 1.7 bar and tailing off to 1.6 bar is exactly where these should be at stage 2 :thumbs up:
I've just had mine tuned and this is exactly what it's requesting, however I have an over boost of 1.8 bar on spool and a random under boost of 1.5 at around 3.8k when it's requesting 1.6 bar...
Quick question - are aftermarket 8v downpipes compatible with the 8y?
If not, what aftermarket performance downpipes with GPF/PPF delete are available for the 8y?.. I've seen SA tuning used a Scorpion downpipe on an 8y they tuned, but can't see anything 8y specific on the Scorpion website...
Remove the the panel under the steering column, behind there you'll find a relay box with terminals on the underside which you can tap into... I can't remember exactly which ones do what but if you have a multi-meter to hand you'll quickly be able to determine constant and switched feeds -...
Just went and had a look and a really nice 2009 A6, 2.0 tdi 170 with 7 speed multitronic gearbox...
Drove really well, seemed to select gears and go through the gears fine. However I noticed from a standing start if you give it a bit of welly there was an audible whine (borderline rattle)...
Only two owners from new with one lady owner for the first 17 years. 118k on the clocks and good service history. Legendary 2.7 bi-turbo engine coupled with famed Audi Quattro 4 wheel drive, usual S4 spec including black leather interior, heated seats, blue carbon weave dash trim, Bose sound...
Just trying to help my pal out as he's a very skilled craftsman but not so good at advertising and the internet in general! (he won't mind me saying)
He's just completed this 4 birth T5 camper, which is a super rare 2.5 TDI 4 motion! . . Finished to a very high standard inside and out, with...
180k is absolutely nothing for a well looked after 1.9 PD lump... Mine was near 300k when I scrapped it and it still started on the button every time and ran like a dream. Only reason I scrapped it was cos the outside of the car was such a state!
Thanks! . . I did also consider the swirl flaps myself. I'm not exactly sure how they work on the TFSI though.
Car still runs and dirves fine... It's a very low milage vehicle also
I will agree, very not normal! . . I've tried honing in on the sound with the old long screwdriver trick and I don't think it's coming from the valve-train though :/
I've just finished doing the clutch on my mum's 63 plate Audi TT TFSI (it's FWD so the lesser one I believe?)...
Upon starting it up there appears to be a rather audible rattle coming from the inlet manifold area... I never heard the car running before I did the clutch and I'm 99% certain this...
Most likely dodgy CTS sensor if 49 isn't moving from 30 degrees...
51 on the hidden menu isn't actually anything credible... It's an estimate on what the car thinks the engine temp would be based on how long it's been running. I think it's used for the HVAC.
CTS from GSF is not much more than...
I did the balance shaft on my dreaded BLB last year, and in hindsight I probably should have done the chain/tensioner at the same time! . . Hey-ho ♂️
Anyway, fast-forward a year and I've metallic tinkering (not quite a rattle) coming from that area... Which I'm guessing is the...
Depending on level of tune make make sure the plugs are gapped properly... Generally speaking 0.8mm standard and 0.7 for anything stage 1 or 2 remapped.
That does indeed reset the function, for example when the battery has been disconnected for an extended period... I've tried this though. And the point is sometimes it does work and sometimes it doesn't!?
Anyway, starting to sound like it might be the switch... Will have a poke around when I...
I have an early b7 2.0 tdi (55 plate, the dreaded BLB)...
There's a lot of things that annoy me about it to be honest. Although it does drive well my b5 1.9 TDI was undoubtedly a better car...
One of its idiocies is the "one-touch" windows, which seem to have absolutely no consistency as to...
