In the past month my 1999 A3 1.8t quattro developed a problem where there would be a very loud clicking sound when turning. I thought it was the diff.. but now I don't even know.
I took out the Haldex fuse and the problem went away, so I assume it's from the load that the Haldex...
Metal cutters turned out not to be a good idea since there really isn't that much room in there and you have to cut pretty precisely. It's also handy when cutting the hole in the back of the headlights for the new wiring loom.
Ended up buying a cordless Dremel tool (which is charging right...
Same thing with my a3... drivers side only. In the heat my car thinks the door is always open, but after driving around for a few min and opening and slamming the door a few times it usually goes away.
There is no problem when it's not scorching hot.
Any way of cutting that front quarter without a dremel?
I also sourced a pair of Depo facelift lights for cheap.. I live in an apartment so I'll be doing this in the courtyard where there is no electricity..
Should I use metal cutters? Or is there a tool that is better for the job?
