    1.4 COD tuning box

Yes on the Seat you have ECO which dulls throttle and switches off AC, Normal, Sport (Faster throttle response, heavier steering and reduced traction control) and then a final Custom which lets you mix and match (I mainly use this with all the sport function on except for the heavier steering...

    Goodbye and Thanks

Yes from the outside the best looking of the new crop of VAG MVQ platformed (A3, Golf, Octavia, Leon), the interior is surprisingly nice for a Seat but this is where the new A3 trumps it, but it was £4k more! Golf is pretty much the same price as the A3 nowadays which meant it was struck...

Help - 2.0TFSi EPC and ESP light on and DSG Gearbox disengages

I am going to try and get my local garage to scan for errors tomorrow - hope their not fully booked! Fingers crossed just a sensor but its weird I how the DSG disengages, you would expect limp home to not stop the gearbox from allowing you to run even slowly.

Twice now when driving in the last week the Engine Management light has come on and the Electronic Stability Control light, the DSG gearbox seems to disengage and the car just coasts along. Rear washer/pipe problems.

It's off, god it was stuck fast! Half a can of WD40 and lots of time to soak. I borrowed an unusual clamp and screw thread pusher from my local friendly garage but even with this I had to use more force than I wanted! Thanks for suggestions.

    Rear washer/pipe problems.

Yes bolts undone, its the wiper arm that seems to be stuck to the spleen from the motor. Tried pulling from the back, prising from the front, bit of WD40 etc. but no joy! Looks like I will have to write off the wiper arm and get a new one of those also.

    Rear washer/pipe problems.

Just got a new motor (8E9955711 revision E) via my local VW dealer for £82 inc-vat but when trying to fit I cannot get the rear wiper off. I assume that it is on a spleen but I have removed the cover and 13mm nut, sprayed with some WD40 but I have tried using more force than I would like and...

Outside temperature gauge reading 5 degrees too low?!?

As they charged just 18mins at garage I doubt the bumper has to come off, must be a simple unplug and replace.
