Ground loop isolators from maplin sorted mine, only issue was getting them in behind the unit, they are huge! Ended up extending the cables out and fitting them behind the glovebox

    Pioneer AVH-X3500DAB

Just fitted one into my C5 allroad and I love it, next plan is to fit a proper roof mount DAB aerial in place of the original (don't have dab at all yet) and a reverse camera for backing up and hitching up the caravan! The unit has been great, Bluetooth connects quickly and every time without...

    Air suspension, nobody@home

Air suspension pump is underneath the car behind the spare wheel well, underneath a cover that is held on with 3 (probably very rusty! Nuts). I'd first check to see if it has 12v power to it.

Allroad rear suspension leak / fix

No alignment, we didn't remove anything that had any kind of adjustment as far as we could tell. Will keep a close eye on any tire wear issues

Allroad rear suspension leak / fix

About 3 weeks ago i went out to my Allroad (03 plate 2.5TDi) to find it sat on the floor. The suspension had bottomed out all round and no amount of pressing buttons etc would bring it up again. I returned to it later that day and did manage to get it up to level 2 but overnight it dropped...

    Allroad towbar fitting

OK so I now have my Allroad and need to get a towbar fitted, I have had various quotes ranging from £360 to £560 for a 13pin electric removable system. My question is should i get dedicated wiring or use a relay / scotlocks to hack into the wiring. Not sure if the Allroad has any kind of...

Possible Allroad 2.5Tdi purchase, suspension advice

I guess it hasn't then, I said that as first gear was stupidly short so I assumed it must have one fitted. However maybe they are all like that? Turns out a friend knows the previous owner too...lol

Possible Allroad 2.5Tdi purchase, suspension advice

OK, previous owner only had one suspension issue in the 3yrs of ownership which was when he was up in the Alps at -12c. Once down and conditions warmed up things where fine (and he had it checked upon his return). Changed it due to rising mileage and wanting a bigger car for the family. Going...

Possible Allroad 2.5Tdi purchase, suspension advice

Yes it's the AKE 180hp manual (with the low ratio box which would be great for towing I suspect!), drives very nicely and has a folder full of receipts with full history dating back to new (serviced every year - sometimes twice in a year when it did bigger miles!) Heated leather, Bose etc...

Possible Allroad 2.5Tdi purchase, suspension advice

Looking at something to have as the second car that will also do a bit of towing, economy not too important but want something nice to drive with plenty of space and pulling power from wet grass / bit of mud. Looked at the series 1 freelanders but the build is shocking (coming form someone who's...

    1.8 RED T?

Mine isn't a 1.8T but a 110hp TDi Following Golf logic it should have a red i but doesn't, it's silver. However i have seen 110TDi's (not quatrros) that do have red i's..... mostly i think it's the 130TDi that have them but i do also think it's either random or previous owners trying to fool...

Audi A3 Water Temperature Showing Wrong

I have a fuel and temp gauge problem on mine too, seems to be quite common from what i can gather. Faulty dash pod and big money from Audi. If you are able to remove it there are firms around that offer a fix. Search Ebay for Audi A3 dash.... Mine also has a faulty display so will cost about...

Hi, Due to time restrictions at home i am about to start pulling my car apart and begin running the Amp Power cable, RCA's etc during my lunch hours at work! To save me some time poking around is there a decent route through the firewall on the 8l chassis for the AMP cable? and do i need to...
