Really strange whinning whistle coming from turbo, limp mode twice!!! a3 2.0 tdi 140

the innotech stuff WILL free up your vanes, NHN is correct though, it is only a temporary solution, the problem WILL come back. Its all down to cost, if you plan to remove the turbo, this is the best solution you do have to replace variety of parts, seals, banjo unions... i remember calling VW...

Really strange whinning whistle coming from turbo, limp mode twice!!! a3 2.0 tdi 140

sticky vanes are from VNT turbos, all that essentially means is there is a lever which is pulled through vacuum hose which varies the amount of boost and different loads, it does this by changing the 'shape' of the internals of the turbo, creating more/less flow. if you google vnt turbo there is...

    Audi A3 Turbo problems

sounds like either sticky vanes, or leak in boost hoses, firstly what engine? petrol or diesel? plus maybe engine code too may help people here diagnose

    Boost issues TDi 140 BKD

only had the car for a few months, according to history all work was done by audi. NHN do you have the forge pipes fitted? or stock ic and stock piping? managed to get the grill where the fog light goes to see the top of the housing, the clip normally seats in behind a plastic lug which should...

    Boost issues TDi 140 BKD

my point isnt to achieve any performance gains (at the moment). It is to put an IC on there that is highly unlikely to give me boost issues in the future. I could replace with an identical one in there, but how long before the orings go on it again and require replacing. If i have to take it all...

    Boost issues TDi 140 BKD

ive looked at replacing the hoses, but the forge hoses still require clipping in. The plastic on my ic is worn/broken in such a way that even with no pipe in there, the clip wont seat securely.

    Boost issues TDi 140 BKD

Ive got a leak at the intercooler, boost pipes at the IC, replaced orings, but theres still a leak, the plastic mount is worn and the clip wont seat properly. Started looking at replacing the intercooler, forge: no good as it piggy backs on the faulty original. THS seems like a good direct...

    Got no boost!

i have a vagcom and ran the diagnostics, its never pulled a code. What im concerned with is the poor design of the intercooler seal, even with new orings its minimised the boost leak but its still there. What have other people done to theirs to seal this problematic area. The forge twintercooler...
