Hello again! :) There is a new problem....since i have the old steering wheel, danny's module and slip ring is for a dual stage airbag, and i have a single stage. What options do i now have to makes this cruise control work properly? Is there no other slip ring that will work? Now i don't have...

That i did not know :( But you are right. Since the slip ring D goes with the module F and slip ring C goes with module J, and i have module 1K0 953 549 F. So if i have 1K0 or 8P0 slip ring with suffix D it will still work? Don't need the slip ring to be 8P0 to?

Ok i trust you :) It's just my fellow mechanic who says my slip ring suffix C in etka, and that it is only for 4-door the F module :) Hope Danny's still up for sale so we'll find out quick :)

It is a 3-door btw. In etka the F is for 4-door. That does not matter?

Just one more question :) The slip ring can stay as it is right? Don't need to change that too?

No the whole job was actually done in about 1 hour. But the only mistake i did was to not unplug the computer and vagcom, so when i went for a test drive it did not work. so i spent 6 hours looking for the blue connector, because i recon that was the only thing missing. But i was proven wrong ;)...

I know, but i had worked on it 6 hours so i was just glad it worked :) But now i'm ready to go again, and i really want it to work proper. Do you know what part number of that steering module? And that's all i need to do? No other parts?

Do you by any chance know what i have to do to make it work properly? Now that i know this i need to get it right ;)

That's what i figured out to :) Right now i'm just glad it works. It's not worth the hassle to change the steering module for that? Thank you for your help :)

I'm so sorry....we did a mistake. We took the test drives with vagcom still connected to the car. And then it would not work. But as soon as we removed it, it works :) Funny thing is the set button and resume function does not work. Only off and when i push it up or down deploys. Any idea why?
