Thanks for the reply. I agree, new tyres are always going to feel better than whatever they are replacing and i was really impressed with the goodyears throughout although they seem to wear quite quickly on my quattro. I just wanted to know if anyone had them fitted to their audi as certain...
As title really. Anybody tried the continental sport contact 5's on their b6? I'm looking at new tyres to put on my tqs and have been impressed by these on a company vehicle i have. Plus they were voted top tyre by evo magazine.
they will be replacing goodyear eagle assy 2's if anyone has...
Thanks guys. That makes sense. So i need to put the old ecu back in, get the coding, then put the new one in and re program. Can i read the coding using the lite version? Or do i need the full version to do all of it?
Cheers
Purchased another ecu which had a remap on it. Both ecus are from a bfb 1.8T car and the ecu works fine in my car. The only problem i have is the tc light is on on the dash board.
I have vcds but only the light version so i read for codes. I have one refering to the cruise control which the...
i fitted the goodyears to my tqs and they totally transformed the car, although the car came with nexens when I bought it and they were terrible. I would definitely buy them again. and they look great.
yours should be 312 being a Quattro. the codes on the sticker in the boot well or in the book will tell you what options were fitted think the 312 disc code was 1LT but could be wrong.im sure someone will confirm or do a search on it.
there is a mod you can do to it so it accepts batteries from maplins. do a search on that. mine failed a while back and I took it out to do the mod but haven't got around to it yet.
I know what you mean about tyres. I have the same wheels as you and have four Goodyear asymmetric 2's in 235 and they look spot on. But the spare is a conti and it looks a lot wider so I think it differs from manufacturer. I would stick with 235 if I was you.
Was meant to read diverter valve. It controls the boost I think but has a rubber diaphragm that gets weak or breaks so the engine doesn't hold the boost at high rpm. Mine would go flat after 4k but after I changed it pulled alot stronger till the red line.
I bought one a year ago and haven't had any problems. I bought a new oil pick up but as stated was advised against changing it unless the history was dodgy. Mine had had regular oil changes throughout its life and I have changed it twice since I've had it. I would definitely get it remapped as...
Your turbo will be the ko3 not the ko3s, this was fitted to the 190. Turbo replacement is straight forward enough but as to your other questions I can't help sorry but someone else will sort you out I'm sure. And I'm quite interested in some of these questions. As I have the same car.
Early cars will be 150 and the later cars were 163 or 190. I have a 163 quattro with a 5 speed box for the record. I,m sure it would be specified in the ad if it's got a 6 speed as it's seen as a plus point.
