You have had some sound advice, to add to it mine is mapped but doesn't puff. Try and listen to start up when stone cold as I have heard some cars timing chain rattle at first which can indicate chain wear but for 3.5k you could probably break it and get a load back but you will enjoy it.

I had my a3 140bhp mapped at my house for £150. It pulled a lot better and was about 175 bhp and was well worth it. Your clutch should be fine but don't expect it to turn into an animal, and no dpf like the 170bhp has. The best bit is the torque.

Hi and welcome. My dpf blocked the day I bought it so I had it gutted, manifold flaps and egr deleted and mapped. Its a sweet engine. If it tells you to clear dpf do it straight away as they will clog up quick. If you need help pm me for more advice but its all fixable!
