The rear bench can be removed by just pulling upwards.
Very easy.... also just pushes back into place.
You may get away without putting new grommets in.... only if they break will you need to... but are very cheap.
I sometimes have this noise.... and yes.... a tinny grating noise..... haven't got a clue what it is.
Thought it might be the turbo spinning in the opposite direction??
Have had this noise off and on for the past couple of years.... don't think it's anything serious... I hope!!
Audi do have fixed price servicing.... I paid £450ish about a year ago for cambelt and water pump...... but I think it's only upto 2.0 engines, worth asking tho
That's exactly what I had to do last week (use brute force) when removing the cd multi-changer, and got the key stuck!
I put it down to the cheap set of removal keys I purchased from the bay!
Think I'll invest a few more pennys on a decent set.... slightly thicker, so that they don't get trapped...
Previously had Dunlop Sport Maxx TT.... and got 21k (80% motorway driving)
Recently changed to the Dunlop Sport Maxx RT, (don't think they make the TT brand anymore) much quieter than the TT, and have more grip..... just hoping that they will last as long!
Had exactly the same problem a couple of years ago, the centre lug had broken, so the seat would "rattle".... managed to get the old grommets out with a pair of long-nosed pliers and screwdriver.... breaking them in the process!
The new grommets click into place.
Part Number is: V4B0 886 373...
Not an expert.... but pretty certain that pipe should be attached to the flange... ie welded.
Hopefully that can be done, otherwise it looks like a replacement
2007 2.0 TDI 170 Quattro Manual saloon (standard... not chipped)
80% motorway (ave speed on motorway 85-90)
10% urban (30-40)
10% hoofing it!! on country lanes (which I love.... but drinks the fuel)
Average tank to tank from last 5 fill ups is 37.5mpg
Blimey.... how long did it take you to change your wheels? All the leaves have fallen off the trees:w00t:
Anyway.... looks great on the BBS rims.... and agree.... needs to go a bit lower.
