Just completed 350 miles with most of it emission free. MPG 89.9. As in my earlier thread my wife runs about locally and uses no petrol at all. I do a 50 mile each way commute and do about 55% emission free. Hence 89.9mpg.
The car was ordered in October 2014 and prior to delivery read every review I could find and watched every Youtube video so I knew as much about the car as was available. Still much to learn though. Here goes.
Took delivery of the (very high spec) car 7 days ago and so far so good. Local...
Hi. My 2.0T was shaking and the dealer reckoned a misfire (showed up on VCDS) caused by a defective rocker cover gasket allowing oil to get into the spark plug. Hence the misfire.
tyres online @ mytyres.co.uk: tyre dealer for cheap passenger, summer, winter tyres do steel wheel and winter tyre combination. This weeks Autoexpress does a full review of winter tyres.
Worth a look.
I'm answering my own post here. Borg Warner have advised me to try the following as a functional test of AWD with a Haldex clutch.
Function-test of the Haldex coupling.
- Rollout in circle
Aim: Check the function of the coupling and the response on the car. Is to be done on level ground.

Traction control kicks in early on my 54 plate 2.0 TFSI Quattro.
AWD clearly not working.
No fault codes using VAG.com
Testing of Haldex clutch (using Vag.com) indicates no issues.
Disconnected battery for 45min. No change.
It's happened before but cleared itself before investigating.
Prior to...
Thanks for all replies. I noticed the problem because it doesn't come up with WOT (wide open throttle) in the throttle status log. Only overrun, idle, partial throttle. Not sure it's right. Anyone logged theirs and tell me what they found please.
I changed my servicing from fixed annual 10000m to Audi Variable Servicing. 2 years and upto 19000m. The dealer mistakenly reset the service indicator to fixed and it showed 365days and 9900m straight away (the next day). I had them reset it to the correct AVS and it showed nothing, as yours...
Noticed when logging that throttle would not open fully (WOT), stopping at about 89%. Tried adaptation no change. Removed throttle body and cleaned it up. Not much oil. Tried adaptation again. Still wont open fully. Any ideas or is a new throttle body needed.
Have you tried using VAG com to monitor Engine Coolant Temperature and Radiator Outlet Temperature as it warms up (Measuring Group 130). My A3 8P showed the difference in temp between the two to be no more than 8 deg C. Changed Thermostat and now engine warms first before opening thermostat.
I paid £30 for the thermostat from Glasgow Audi and changed it myself. Had to jack the car up, remove the throttle body and alternator, and then struggled removing some of the hose clips. Much better now though.
I tried and failed. The HIDS supplier provided a relay kit to protect the wiper motor. Couldn't clear the bulb failure alarm for both front dipped lights. Also brake lights came on after a few seconds and wouldn't extinguish. Also tried VCDS to disable lamp testing, and trying to convince...
Plugs changed as part of Audi service. Two weeks later coil pack melts damaging electrical connector. Mechanic reckons not fitting coil packs properly will cause coils to fail. Probably similar reason if plug gap incorrectly set. Will be taking this up with Audi.
2.0 TFSI AWD stopped working, No ECL, and rear parking sensors stopped working too
Noticed AWD not working, too much wheelspin and traction control light flashing. See VAG-COM extract below. Then noticed rear parking sensors not working giving a continuous tone when selecting reverse. Reckon...
Noticed AWD not working, too much wheelspin and traction control light flashing. See VAG-COM extract below. Then noticed rear parking sensors not working giving a continuous tone when selecting reverse. Reckon loose electrical connection so drove over some speed bumps. Problem went away...
