Hi all, I am in need of some help selecting the correct front springs to replace the 2 that have broken. I've looked high and low online but have become lost in all the info. What I need is just to replace the front 2 springs with something that will sit at the same height as the current S...

Are all a3 rear shocks the same??? 56 plate 8P

I spoke to gsf today and they said that all the rear shocks are the same. Which I don't believe. Surely the sport/slime shocks are valved differently to those on a 1.6 Audi won't give me part numbers either.

Is someone trying to con me?

I feel like it might be a Nigerian on the other end of the phone asking for me to pay through western union and sending the Monet to his brother in Uganda. Or a premium rate phone number.

Is someone trying to con me?

So I text the number asking if i could collect and they replyed with no answer to my question but asking me to email them if I had any other questions. So I emailed them and got...

Not very likely at all, more like the mechanic forgot to tighten them after fitting the cam belt and they have snapped under the extra load place on them cus they were loose. I had the same happen but i spotted it before any bolts snapped. I saw the old bolts after they replaced them with new...

Advice on dangerous work done on my car.

Wrote them an email this afternoon explaining my dissatisfaction with them. 😊 they rang me 10 mins later saying that although they are not admitting they are at fault they will pick the car up and replace the bolts and check it over as a good will gesture. Lol. So hopefully it should all be...

Advice on dangerous work done on my car.

Yeah you have to move the monitor as the belt runs trough the centre of the 3 bolting points. Not sure if I should just leave it and take it as a lesson learnt not to let anyone else that i don't know or trust work on my car.

Advice on dangerous work done on my car.

Cam belt and water pump. If the bolts had dropped out or sheared then the engine would have pretty much dropped out. Aux belt would have hit the chassis leg and snapped. PAS might have packed up. Who knows what may have happened at 70mph
