Hi all, I am in need of some help selecting the correct front springs to replace the 2 that have broken.
I've looked high and low online but have become lost in all the info.
What I need is just to replace the front 2 springs with something that will sit at the same height as the current S...
I spoke to gsf today and they said that all the rear shocks are the same. Which I don't believe. Surely the sport/slime shocks are valved differently to those on a 1.6 Audi won't give me part numbers either.
Hi, I have recently had a bad knocking and strange feeling comming from the rear of my car whan cornering or going over bumps/rummble strips. jacked it up and found that the rear shocks are absolutly shagged! So i need to replace them which would be easy if i went to the dealers and bought the...
I feel like it might be a Nigerian on the other end of the phone asking for me to pay through western union and sending the Monet to his brother in Uganda. Or a premium rate phone number.
Hi guys a bit of a strange one but I saw a post in the for sale and eBay section for a round air bag for a FBSW. £100. So I text the number asking if i could collect and they replyed with no answer to my question but asking me to email them if I had any other questions. So I emailed them and got...
Not very likely at all, more like the mechanic forgot to tighten them after fitting the cam belt and they have snapped under the extra load place on them cus they were loose. I had the same happen but i spotted it before any bolts snapped. I saw the old bolts after they replaced them with new...
Wrote them an email this afternoon explaining my dissatisfaction with them. ð they rang me 10 mins later saying that although they are not admitting they are at fault they will pick the car up and replace the bolts and check it over as a good will gesture. Lol. So hopefully it should all be...
Thats what ive been asking myself as well. I think im just going to check it all myself this afternoon. Its just ****e when ive payed money for it to be done and ive got to put it right. I knew i should have done the job myself in the first place as im more than capable but i didnt have the time...
It was a peice of cake to fit, Its bolted just off the turbo, the only tools you need is a jack/ramp to get under the car, 5mm allen key and 5mm allen key bit on a 1/4 drive ratchet with small extension. the bolts were tight coming out as they have thread lock on them.
it took around 30mins at...
I had noticed that recently my a3 tfsi had lost a bit of its pull and top end power. I installed a bluefin remap a few months ago and after installing that it was rapid and was proper fast but recently I wasn't so impressed with it but was sure there was nothin wrong with it just more I had got...
Yeah you have to move the monitor as the belt runs trough the centre of the 3 bolting points. Not sure if I should just leave it and take it as a lesson learnt not to let anyone else that i don't know or trust work on my car.
Cam belt and water pump. If the bolts had dropped out or sheared then the engine would have pretty much dropped out. Aux belt would have hit the chassis leg and snapped. PAS might have packed up. Who knows what may have happened at 70mph
