Does jet washing remove wax coating?

No mate many waxes tend to cure, effectively bonding with the paint. I'm confident that even products that don't would not be removed by a jetwasher. That said you shouldn't put it up close to your paint anyway, use it from afar. If the pressure catches a stone chip or scuff it could...

Polish/pad combo for minor correction work?

Thanks but I'd appreciate any recommendations for polish or pad combinations that have brought people success at correction work without overdue stress. Maybe megs 105 polish on a cutting pad (or can I go too abrasive) followed by 205 to finish?

Polish/pad combo for minor correction work?

I suspected it would be hard work. Any recommended good combinations using other pads and polishes, I don't mind making a wee purchase? Cheers

Is the A3 for me? Will TDI suit me? Help me out *PLEASE READ*

They're quite decent and of course torquey but the OP's choice after coming from a high revving, normally aspirated rotary to a 140 diesel smacks of disappointment in terms of 'fun'. As I say, so long as you can be happy with the rest of the package I'm sure it's a great choice.

Polish/pad combo for minor correction work?

Can anyone advise me if I'm sufficiently well equipped for some minor correction work on an Audi S3. I have a DA with megs 80, 83 polish and megs cutting, polishing and finishing pads. So can I get by with this or will it be too hard going?

Is the A3 for me? Will TDI suit me? Help me out *PLEASE READ*

To be fair mate, Audi's are not best known for being fun. Neither are diesels so the combination will be almost certainly be lacking in this respect. That said it will no doubt be a very good overall ownership experience.

    Mods or R32?

To be fair I'm sure there are a fair few that will have rightly chosen a T-sport over various A3 models on performance grounds.

    Mods or R32?

Happy to stand corrected but isn't a heavier front end (hypothetically) going to create oversteer problems rather than understeer?

    S3 sportback with buckets

The only bad things about the buckets are the quality of leather on the bolsters and the fact that they don't slide forward on the rails when getting in the back of a two door. The latter of which obviously isn't a concern for you. I honestly think that the hard backs will make minimal...

    New to Forums and S3s

I would be very sad if you take away my Bose. It is of very fine quality. To be honest mate that's possibly a few grands worth of retrofitted options so if they are important to you, you should bear that in mind when pricing up your initial purchase.

    RNS-E and SDHC that work!

How old is the car mate? Not sure what year the RNS-E changed but up to a certain point only SD is compatible.

    Mods or R32?

If you have a little money to play I would get an R32 and make it forced induction. For say, £10k extra, you could have 450 ponies at your disposal as well as an engine that will provide many smiles. Not cheap moding admittedly. Although you do have a silver S3 with purple wheels? ;)

    The Budget

Oh please, do you not think that if it was as easy as reducing duty by said amount they would grasp their opportunity to steal the headlines and appease public frustrations? The simple fact is that they cannot. Such a cut would either have a significant, undesirable effect on public spending...

    The Budget

Any gesture would be empty short of a huge reduction which is pointless and impractical. George cant really do anything, price rises are governed by factors outside his control. Just take it as a gesture and move on I say.

    The Budget

lol. Indeed. Bearing in mind fuel duty and vat have a minimal effect on the increasing fuel prices anyway it's little more than a gesture. A welcome one though.
