I have replaced the bushes and drop links and coated everything with silicone lube.
This stopped the squeak for about a week but now it is back again and it is definitely the ARB bushes.
The question I...
So, long story short and my pride and joy has to go and I have a budget of £1000 for a new whip.
I'm not expecting miracles here but what would you buy in this situation?
all ideas appreciated :)
Purchased for my S3 however did not work, I then discovered that the cabling is different to mine so I am now wondering what it is for. The ad said it came off a 2003 a3 quattro, did the later models have a different controller?

The answer is 517 miles + room for a bit more, at my average of 41.1 mpg it equates to roughly 57litres of fuel used. I'm led to believe that the S3...
So as the title says I have rigged the haldex controller so it is permanently on.
Now although this is great as far as I get no wheel spin but when in reverse it feels as though the hand brake is on and there is alot of resistance when driving slowly.
I understand that this is putting...
When I turn the ignition on you can hear the pump whirring, however it kind of unevenly pulses rather than a constant whirr.
I'm having problems with my haldex at the moment, something that a new controller did not fix so I am trying to find a different solution to the problem.
Thanks for...
So my 4 wheel drive hasn't worked for over a week now... wow I miss it.
anyway I have error code 01324 which is the haldex I believe but it is making this noise from the rear diff ...

so a long story but the bits which are now amusing include:
converting mg into g incorrectly causing my research study to administer me 3000mg of pure caffeine instead of 300.
This then resulted in an overnight trip to A&E for observations as I had a high risk of cardiac arrest.
