For a while I have had an excessivley loud air sucking noise on a light to medium throttle. It almost sounds like it is wheasing! If you come off the throttle it stops obviously but also give it more gas and it also stops.
Any ideas guys??
One other thing though, throttle response is...
Taking them off and knocking out is not within my skill set and prefer just to remove the existing pipes completely in my case. The noise would be good I guess but not really something I want in my day to day vehicle, it gets annoying after a while. Each to their own!
I have been told that it is best to have new pipework fitted but keep the sensors in place on the new pipework. I'm going to have this done before xmas on my 2.5tdi.
I suffer this too on my 2.5tdi 180 but I also get a louder air rush noise and a noisy turbo under load when it is playing up! I have been told by a Turbo specialst and that it could be a cat issue creating more back pressure and causinbg the egr valve to remain open and cause the chatter when I...
Had my car washed so I thought I'd take a quick pic to add here.
2.5Tdi V6 Quattro Sport Avant currently as bought but adding later model spoilers and door blades sometime soon. I may update the wheels after winter when the tyres are beggered.

I have blanked the EGR at only one end as in the above pic but if I re-fit the vac pipe, the power reduces slightly...
Does the vacuum pipe need removing or can it be left connected as in the pic above with the plate fitted. I have fitted the plate but also removed the pipe which I think is the reason my engine warning light is on.
Not true, The light came on on my 2003 B6 2.5tdi v6 after being blanked but it came after only removing the vacuum pipe first before I had time to blankl the egr.
