    Retrofit of Autohold

If anyone ever finds themselves in my position, I ended up buying the kit from Kufatec for just over £135 and had it coded fitter and coded for £70 by a mobile autoelectrician. Job done, hope it gives others some confidence to go ahead with it if needed!

    Retrofit of Autohold

It really is as simple as that, I just can’t seem to find anyone locally who has the confidence to take that approach! I wouldn’t mind doing it myself, just more comfortable with electrics in the home than the car.

Anyone local to West Yorkshire to fit a Kufatec kit?

I can appreciate that - I’ll PM you.

Anyone local to West Yorkshire to fit a Kufatec kit?

I’m in Shipley: I’ve had a couple of VAG retrofit guys say it’s compatible, but sadly just that bit too far away to make it viable. My car does have hill start assist and the wiring diagram looks straightforward enough: I’m just not chancing touching it myself! Why it doesn’t come with it is...

Anyone local to West Yorkshire to fit a Kufatec kit?

Hi guys, I’d like the following kit to be fitted to my car: I’ve had the VIN checked and it’s compatible. Anyone up for the task? https://www.kufatec.com/en/assist-park/auto-hold-hill-hold/complete-kit-auto-hold-hill-start-assist-for-audi-a4-8w-a5-f5-42105

    Retrofit of Autohold

Hi Nigel, I’ve just taken it for a quick spin to check, it does seem to have it: brake to a stop on a hill and the A with a circle around it comes up and it stops for 3 seconds or so. I can PM you my vin if it helps?

    Retrofit of Autohold

Hi guys, A return to the forum after several years away. I’m after somebody to supply and fit Autohold to my 2016 A4 Avant. The car’s been specced with seemingly everything under the sun but that; I’m missing it dreadfully following coming from a 2017 Tiguan. I’m based in West Yorkshire. Thanks!

    DPF Light

Depending where abouts you are - More-BHP in Cheshire quoted £550.00: a couple in Bradford quoted £400.00 for what it's worth!

    2.0 140 MPG

Very well indeed! The 8P3 I had with the 1.9 TDI 105 PD was very good on fuel, better than the 2.0 TDI CR I have now - particularly on more local runs.

    Limp mode issues

Definitely sounds like sticking vanes from what you've described: 33,000 over four years points to a car that has been driven locally often. I would wager you'd notice this more then you're in 5th or 6th gear? I used Forte Turbo Cleaner and haven't had the issue since.

Best method to remove this dent?

I know a gent in West Yorkshire who would do something like that for perhaps £60 or maybe even less. I'm quite sure somebody will exist in your neck of the woods to do a similar job!

Is there no high trim level on the 1.9 £30 tax model?

The only thing which is near-enough impossible to get installed is the digital climate control: the rest of it is very much doable. Good luck with your search!

Is there no high trim level on the 1.9 £30 tax model?

I recently sold mine, but came across this one on Autotrader just yesterday: looks like a very tidy motor and a good place to make a start as it has climate control, multi-function steering wheel and arm-rest! Mine has cruise control, rear-parking sensors and iPod control so it's very much...

    Is My Girl Dying?

In a nutshall, deletion of DPF (by hollowing it out), mapping out the DPF and a re-map can cost anything from £350.00 to £600.00. Worth getting done, but you'd need to take it to a friendly MOT man. As for re-map before/after figures search the forums, the question has been asked many a time...

*Advice/Warning to fellow Audi A3 8P3 owners with 100w bulbs*

I haven't as of yet, but certainly will do. Car is now sold, but I sincerely hope my experience helps somebody!

*Advice/Warning to fellow Audi A3 8P3 owners with 100w bulbs*

Ordered the bulbs from forum member t8ups - didn't think it would be a problem if sold by a Sponsor Member without warning. Lack of "common sense" aside, my aim is to impart word of warning for others out there. Hope it saves somebody £300+! Dan

*Advice/Warning to fellow Audi A3 8P3 owners with 100w bulbs*

Hi all, I've just been stung pretty badly just the day before selling my car: these words of warning are for my fellow forum members whose words of advice have saved me previously! I've been using 100w bulbs/LED sidelights for around 18 months with no issue (or so I thought). In that that time...
