I've got the same issue. Only reaches around 65/70. Heater works fine, car radiator fans run when they need to. Just bugs me when I know it should be around 90.
My A4 decided to snap it's Crankshaft. Not good! Anyone know if the BPW engine can be swapped out for a different code engine? Seems to be more BLB's out there than any other code.
2.0tdi Cabriolet. 06 plate.
Hi. Where to begin! The A4 convertible 2.0tdi gave up last week, now been diagnosed with a broken crank shaft. Was worth about £2200 on the market... sod all now.
So.... where to go. Recon fitted for 1600? Dismantlers offered 400 on the Web? Ebay spares or repair?
Engine of the bay...
:blownose:Oh! And the A4 has decided to trash it's Duel mass flywheel this week. Not good. Maybe it thought it would be left out now there's a tt around.
Hi. Looking at buying a tt mk2 around the 2010 year. I was wondering if the mk2 convertible was relatively quiet with the roof up while driving!
We still own and will keep the A4 convertible we have , but knowing that the hood is well insulated and almost like driving a normal saloon, just...
Ha! It's a special food industry spray grease I just happen to have in my work van. Used on conveyors and food prep lines. Very much like the white stuff you find when delving in the workings of an Audi.
What did we do before the web? Also sorted my heater flaps today. Not really sure what's wrong with them but glovebox off and a play around and they are working again. Audi sits on the drive most of the time I spend most of my life in a work van. Wouldn't be without the old girl thou!
Pleased that's over.
Not one of the easiest things i've taken on and hopefully won't be doing it again for a while. The info I found on the net was invaluable I opted for the cable repair and while fitting it regretted it but once completed I was happy with a cheaper repair.
I watched some...
Don't temp fate on me!
I've been opening the key fob wrong for years until I see that you flick the key out and prise the joint with a small flat head screwdriver where the key stows away.
Try a search on the web for, vag com hidden menu. Can't remember what come up but the was another...
A little while ago the hood wouldn't fold down after a bit of google I found it to be the pump motor. Followed a thread on gaining access and cleaning the brushes and bits. Works fine now but left a flashing symbol on the dash ! Then the battery died, new battery, then key fobs didn't work ...
Remove the the bolt that holds it in place then spray some wd40 around the lock, inside and out. looking at the boot turn the lock clockwise, it will be very stiff. This releases it from a lobe, then pull it out.
Sorry Vrsgordy. That's a lovely colour. I once bought a audi a3 Tsport at night (not the best thing to do) thought it was black. When I picked it a couple of days later tuned out it was Ming blue. Loved it more than black.
My slitter was £40 with £5 delivery of ebay. Cutting the ends at the wheel arch was easy, I had it fitted first so I knew where to cut. It should but-up to the trim at the bottom of the arch. Mud flap thingy, but one of mine is missing and the other one as worn partly away. I can't seem to find...
Just remembered it was halfords gloss black I used on the chrome surround and the complete lower grill. I like to spray several base coats and a couple of lacquer coats. The last one being heavy, enough but not too much to have runs. It's a fine line, but I am getting real good with it.
Taking the grill out was easy enough but parting the chrome surround was a bit fiddly. Very easy to brake the tabs that hold it to the grill. I broke one. Only painted the chrome bit, wish I'd done the grill now!
The cupra slitter needed cutting both ends, tad too long for where I wanted it to...
