Yes, rear resonator delete at each side solved this for me. Sounds like a V8 now. Neatly cut so I can put the originals back with a sleve and clamp any time.
My 2017 S6 just started doing this. It sticks when it's left for a while, and I'm guessing it needs some lube. Same situation though, it can be fixed by activating close/open again from the mirror control on the drivers' door.

I just part exchanged my Sprint Blue A4 DTM (KE06 CRX) so I expect it will be on sale or at a trade auction shortly. It was extremely well loved and will be a great buy for someone.

Anybody fitted cruise control to their DTM and kept the original Alcantara steering wheel (which has no buttons etc)? What was needed.. extra wires, Modules, etc?
VCDS lite won't talk to any newer modules which use the CAN protocol, I'm a B7 man which is half and half so no experience with the B6 but I do have the proper version of VCDS.

Legendary thread, same issue here, I managed to persuade the screws out using some voodoo magic and witchcraft and will replace now with M3 x 12mm Cap Heads! Thanks!!
