There was no supply to the '+UB' pin so I checked the fuse. The fuse was fine, so I cut the original wire and connected a new fused feed from the fuse box inside the car. This has now fixed the issue, I guess the '+UB' wire is broken somewhere between the fuse and the quadlock connector.

An Audi mechanic once told me you might as well replace the security bolt for a standard one. Everyone thinks all cars with alloys have them so no-one steals wheels any more! If the security bolt sticks it's a shocker to get off as the sockets aren't built for a lot of torque trying to get them...

Grease the bolts before you fit them. I had a nightmare getting a security bolt out once because it had stuck in and the socket became useless. I was almost at the point of wrecking the wheel to get the bolt out when Plan Z worked!

Bumping, just don't want to waste £160 on the wrong part or find it's something else blowing the fuse

Update: I took the part off and it was, indeed, filthy and stuck. I cleaned it and it freed up and it felt mechanically sound. I couldn't get that side plate off to see the cogs though. After refitting, however, Fuse 24 continues to blow. Is anything else run off the same fuse or just this part...
