Hi all, how many digits does the RNS-E security code have.? I have found a 6 digit code written on the inside of my service manual, but don't know for sure this is what it's for.? Thanks

To be honest, I only need to replace 2 buttons (the fan + and - ones) the rest of the existing unit is fine.

I assumed I would need to first remove the RNS-E (I think!) so got Audi to pop it out for me. Any ideas what I do next.? Also, before I disconnect the rsn-e, I need to find the codes, but I can't find it anywhere. Is there any trick to getting codes, or is it an Audi service job?

Right, I got a replacement - exactly the same as my old one. How do I remove it.?? P.S - I have the RNS-E so the climate is right down the bottom. I've tried a search but it's still not clear.

Thanks - I realised they had different switches, but their purpose is the same. However I didn't know one was single DIN and the other double, they look the same size/shape to me. Thanks for the heads up.

Hi all, we need a new climate control panel as our buttons have worn away. We currently have one like this.... AUDI A3 2004 CLIMATE CONTROL PANEL on eBay (end time 23-Nov-10 13:53:05 GMT) But was wondering if a 2010 one would fit (they look the same size/shape) like this.....AUDI A3 S LINE...

Thanks for the welcome, I'll take some pics tomorrow. It won't be very clean (the ouside anyway, I detailed the interior today - was VERY grubby!) Just noticed my hazard light switch light stays on constantly - hope it doesn't drain the battery.....

Had a play last night, and I can use voice control to dial a number successfully, but nothing else. I suspect it does not have full voice control of the navigation etc, which is fine TBH. Have to say it's one of the nicest cars I have ever driven - very happy :) I look forward to contributing...
