Hi all, having a few problems with the egr valve. It has quite a bit of oil leaking from it. I have had it apart and cleaned it up and fitted a new o ring that goes between the egr and inlet manifold. Was ok for a little but its started happing again so looked into it a bit more and found on...

Another thing i was just thinking was i removed the bung from under the battery ase the compartment where the battery sits was full of water. I did this on sat and today (sun) it stopped working.

No the car doesnt have dis. Its a 2003 a4 estate without it.

Would that cause both displays to fail? I had the radiator expension bottle off to clean it out and when it was put back together thats when it had gone off so thought it might have been something to do with that. Well ave managed to get hold of a new fuel filter today so changed that and its running great now. The fuel filter was full of grit and really conterminated so i think thats been the problem. Where the egr valve mounts to the inlet mani there is a 'o' ring. Are these replaceable as its really...

Well had it off today and cleaned it etc. Still the same. Going to change the fuel filter and see if that helps any 😞
