Its a valve on the front of rocker cover that takes breathers from block and inlet manifold and has a diaphragm in it to alow them all to breath, seems if diaphragm breaks air leaks straight to inlet causing idle to fluctuate

if i take oil cap off it runs worse then air hisses out valve at front i will try pcv valve

just replace that then see how it goes?

Cant seem to find any leaks but when I turn it off the circular plastic bit on front of rocker cover hisses away for a bit maybe 15 seconds it has a small hole that is meant to be there that's where air is coming from

where is it? and clean it with what?

My s3 started idling weird tonight i drove about 8 miles and then was out car talking to someone then jumped in the turn round and noticed revs dropped down really slow then changing gear was getting backfire once home i took it out of gear and let it idle and its fluctuating between 2000 rpm...

was going to suggest this as there should be a clip or cable tie round that part too! what u have done will fix it

Whats peoples recommendations for discs and pads on s3? I am wanting to upgrade the brake discs and pads so whats your past experiences?

probably more needing to check air pipes, also there is a one way valve that sometimes sticks check all that first

sounds to me like brake servo, possibly air leak to it

i had this with my brand new golf gti, it was some wiring in the door that wasn't clipped in properly vw fixed it under warranty

i was told its not officially launched but in stock now contact revo and get info from them, i think it does look finished off better and also wonder what the pipe meterial is for heat soak air duct looks better from front panel too from original air intake duct rather than just behind headlight...

Heard today revo is about to launch its new cold air intake its dearer than a itg maxogen but performs better seemingly after alot of rolling road development. I wouldnt expect nothing less mind you as there stage 2 plus remap needs a decent air intake. seemingly around £350 plus vat

Yes i agree i have black rear badge coming but if you make the front rings black number plate takes over grill and dont look as good, pitty you have to run a front number plate or it wouldnt be on

Only picture i have at the moment, front grill and fog light surrounds changed to black from when i bought it but more pics once i do more to it
