Ok I have two fobs for the car.. both with the standard lock, unlock and open boot. The Open Boot button doesn't work on eaither fob.. leading me to beleive it's something to do with the catch on the actual boot... Locking/Unlocking works perfectly, even from a pretty rediculous distance.. but...

heli_madken, i'd appreciate knowing how you get on once you get your car back with the new parts... My 2.0T FSI also sounds ropey (and yes, i've asked the question before, and yes, i've had much the same answers...) but non the less.. if this helps yours I may investigate my own further!

Ditto to the RS4! Loving my B7 A4 2.0 TFSI Quattro Sline though :) Can't decide which is a good "upgrade" in the future... to look at S4's, RS4's or move up the range to A5 / A6...

Not sure what the manual says, but try this: Ignition off. Press and Hold the service button (spanner) whilst turning ignition on. Keep this pressed down whilst pressing the reset button (0,0) - You MUST do this step within 5 seconds or it will come out of reset mode. Ignition off. Job done?
