I had an Idle problem with a 54 plate 2.0Tdi engine, I cleaned the EGR out, poured some RedX in and went for a drive (get engine revs as high as you can safely) I have not had any problems since.

If it is your heater blower motor, then it is probably the bearing in the motor. It is possible to grease the bearing, but the motor has to come out of the car. I did this my self and after 2 attempts and 2+ months the noise has not come back.

Could be a battery that is not healthy, but i would guess at a grounding problem. Check all the grounding points (especially any for the lights) and check the grounding to the gear box. It might be related to the lights on the shift module, might even need to clean the connector to the shift...

Hi, do you have the 170 or 140 model ? The 170's had problems with the injector wireing loom I think. It sounds like the flywheel but could be a broken / perished mount. Also have a search around on here, load of threads on Dsg problems, might help you identify whats wrong.

That looks to be the diesel filter, there are send and return lines for the tank and engine. The leak is probably a mix of water (from the washer bottle) and old diesel from a previous filter change. Clean it up an old rag or something, then put some news paper/ kitchen paper under the filter...

Hi, My 140 gets 45mpg on trip 2 and 50+ on trip 1. I also used to have problems with the car constantly acellerating, even though my foot seemed to stay still. Turns out that the pedal is more sensative in the audi than in a fiesta (who would have thought :ohmy:)

Also worht checking is the blue expansion tank cap, if its an older car or clocked up a large millage, then the spring in the cap might have gone. A new cap from Audi or ebay will fix this, and is a nice cheap easy fix.

Hi, About 2 months ago I bought an A3 with 111k Miles on it, only had to change the alternator so far. As always check the service history carfully, if it is a DSG equiped car, find out when the last oil change was done.
