so I stuck vcds on it and it throws up:
01134 Alarm Horn H12
49-10 No communications
I cleared it and it came straight back.
so I have been fiddling around with the cl pump, do you think I could have damaged the sounder or perhaps the cable? and help appreciated.
the internet also shows...
hi everyone.
my central locking stopped working so with the great advice off here i replaced the graphite fan wotsit within the c/l pump and the c/l now works again off the fob, button etc etc.
but the small alarm leds no longer flash. when i lock the car the indicators and hazard switch...
that's the way I roll :) it did fail on ns tie rod end, but £10 is no biggie. a friend of mine got an advisory to 'remove bodykit because it is ugly'. how we laughed! heres a pic on the steels. just because I can!
have a tuck away exhaust now. the old one was ugly...
so I don't come on here so much but do still check bits from time to time. anyway, my recent mot advisories were too odd not to share.
rear coilovers are only 2 years old (although paint has come off)
I changed the oil at the weekend and when i removing the filter I got it on the ac pipes and...
Right, i had a play tonight and cylinder 1 is not sparking ( drivers side). My laptop is dead so no vcds i'm afraid. Either way cylinder 1 produces no spark. I swapped the coilpacks and it is still cylinder 1. So not coilpacks or spark plug. Heres the odd bit. The supply lead to the coilpack...
thanks for responding. I have a feeling i do. I also have a horrible feeling its the bit that dangles in loose air and has black tape all over it. I have always wondered what it was but it has not proved a problem yet. I think I may have a poke around at lunchtime
should add it makes no difference with hot or cold engine, boost is normal and is worse when accelerating, but is there all the time. A bit more reading up shows that the loom can rub on the cam cover.... any thoughts?
Steve
Morning all.
I am looking for some guidance. I have a 1.8T AGU. Last night it was driving fine with no problems what so ever and hass been fine for a while now. This morning jumped in (after a very heavy nights rain if that makes a difference) and it appears to be running on 3 cylinders. It...
Hi all. The car was feeling odd and i notice the centre cap was missing. The hub nut has sheared the drive shaft stub on the front passenger side. Any ideas? Car is lowered. Audi a3 aug.
i've tested 3 precherished batteries now. Surely they can't all be duff? a new battery will just go flat the same way as an old one does if the car has a fault. I might bite the bullet and take it to the garage...hmmm.
right. I've swapped the starter and left the battery charging while i did it. took 40 minutes or so. jumped in the car and it started perfectly.
got in this morning. dead. no click or anything. So I jump started it and drove it to work where I parked it on a suitable hill to bump start it to...
cool. I've cleaned up that cable already and it looks pretty good. I have starter under my desk at work...like ya do...so i'll swap it over tonight. The missus is going to love me. Haven't seen her for 4 days! ho hum.
I think I have my answer in this thread. I bought a starter the other day so will fit tonight....in the rain of course and charge the battery over night.

Hello all. I have a AGU 1.8T poweres T-reg A3. Problem is the thing won't start. Heres a list of what has happened:
Car seemed to struggle to start. very slow turning starter. fired on 3rd or 4th turn until one day it didn't. RAC jump packed it and it was fine for a few weeks. At this time i...
just to throw a spanner in here. i have always been pro cheapo coilovers. but my JOM's which are less than a year old just got an advisory on the mot due to wobbled/movement in the strut/piston area. can i find the receipt, can i toffee, so the 2 yr warantee is worthless. ho hum. when they die...
