    Please Help :(

Thanks guys. Much Appreciated. Managed to get the bonnet open today by applying a little pressure down on the bonnet then pulling the handle to get it up. Got it started and went out for a spin, got back, went to put the bonnet back up and its stuck again. Ha Ha. My bad. In my eagerness to take...

    Please Help :(

Maybe I didnt make it clear enough before. I can't get to the battery as one of the bolts that hold the floor pan/battery cover down have been rounded. Im just trying to find out if theres another way to release the bonnet when theres no battery power, or even if theres a way of releasing the...

    Please Help :(

Im hoping someone can shed some light on this. The cars been in storage over the winter (A3 3.2 V6) and the battery has of course died despite being run every now and again. Luckily I didnt lock the car so can get into it. Unfortunately I've discovered that you can't get under the bonnet to...

    Tyres... Choices Choices

Hey people. As the title suggests im after some new tyres. My main concerns are low road noise, not too pricey as looking to sell some time soon, and as for performance. Well anything will be better than my current tyres as the previous owner just put some cheap tat on the car. Also tyre life...

    Servicing and haldex question

The reason they quoted the haldex/dsg oil is that when the previous owner serviced the car at 75k miles, I assumed it had be done. On closer inspection, it hadn't so just making sure its done this time. I certainly wont be taking it to Audi for the service as my friend is a fairly decent...

    Servicing and haldex question

Hey people. Just got off the phone to audi as my cars due its service. Currently on 95k miles so they said the major was due as the last was at 75k miles. They said this included oil, filter, plugs and haldex oil. Now they quoted £730 for this (cars the 3.2 v6 DSG) My questions are. Is the...

    Carpet cleaning??

Thanks guys. Will give it a go next weekend when the products arrive. :) I dont know if the previous owner just enjoyed throwing mud and dirt about but they certainly didn't like cleaning the carpets... Scummers :)

    Carpet cleaning??

Right. So my A3 has the horrible greyish/beige carpet at the mo. The previous owner left the carpets filthy, so my questions are 1: What product/s would you use to remove dirt/staining from the carpets? 2: What method should I use and 3: Would a steamer be of any advantage to bringing out any...

Gutted bad day with 2 cars.

Isn't it strange how as soon as I read the words "told my girlfriend to take my S3" I knew there was at the very minimum Kerbing involved. Consider yourself lucky. When my girlfriend borrowed an old car of mine, she put it head on into a tree. A ****** big tree! Obviously taking the roundabout...

In need of some silver inspiration.

Does anyone have any pics of nicely done A3's in silver? Trying to decide whether to stick it out with mine or swap in for another colour. No outragous body kits please. If possible The old Double grille front too please :) Thanks in advance.

3.2 v6 not so smooth acceleration?

Cheers Pad. Was flicking through the box earlier and noticed that its only noticable when in auto. If I use the paddles or the stick shift its fine. Im kind of getting used to it now so just give it a little blip then pull away. It just gets a bit annoying when needing to pull out of a junction...

3.2 v6 not so smooth acceleration?

Thanks People. Im sure I remember hearing this is an expensive job. Am I right? There's no clonking etc... Yet, Just a little jolty occasionaly. I imagine the Gear box oil could do with a change now to be honest. Sarah, I've found the same. Had the hesitation sorted on the weekend and its...

    scratch removal

The best stuff I've found on a budget is Meguirs Scratch X 2.0. I find this stuff gets rid of all sorts of little scratches and imperfections. This followed by a little polish and wax has always worked for me.

3.2 v6 not so smooth acceleration?

All you guys and girls out there with the V6 DSG... Is you acceleration smooth? Mine seems to jolt off from stand still. The only way to make the acceleration smooth is to let it start to roll and then ease your foot down. If you apply any pressure to the throttle before you let the box do its...

Views on the A3 3.2 V6 with DSG

My relationship with mine has been... awkward. I want to love the damn thing but there's always something wrong with it. As said. The hesitation was my main problem which costs about £60 to fix which wasn't to bad but then it kept cutting out which has I think now been sorted at a cost of about...
