Does it start reading after a short while of driving? Mine did exactly the same and a VCDS scan confirmed the lambda probe was faulty. It stops reporting when theres nothing to report lol. Was weird as i didn't have and codes that reported this either.

Ive had this exact issue on a friends mk4 1.8t. NGK Iridium plug just crumbled as yours did. Same method of extraction used then i attached some small hose to a hoover to pick up the debris from the cylinder before refiring.

Hmm, still no joy. I have vagcom 409.1 so the options screen says "force dumb mode" but this makes no changes. Is this correct...? Open vagcom, choose options, select "dumb mode", test and save the interface, close vagcom, open unisettings, set device? Am i missing something? As i cant get...

Sorry for the hijack, but.... I'm in the same predicament, switching from 550s to 630s. I run vagcom 409.1 with an ebay cable however i cant get unisettings to see the cable driver. Any ideas as to what i'm doing wrong? Ive got Unisettings in C:/windows/program...

mines the KW kit mate, but lets face it theyre the same company so the weitec by KW is KW... The ride is very comfortable for daily use yet a little firmer so gives good confidence in the twistys. Id highly recommend the kit and DPM. Damians a good guy, he'll see you right. Mines sits like this...

I wouldn't accept 0.5A as a healthy drain. That's quite a bit. 100-250ish milliamps is about right on these motors.

Yeah second hand, mint condition though. The baffles would be easy to make with sheet ali and then tig'd in.
