Hi, my sisters A4 is fitted with the concert 3 radio/cd (I think), the bigger than normal size radio. For the past few weeks its decided to turn off by itself and will come on again whenever it chooses! Is this a common problem/faulty unit/easy fix? I know the early concerts fitted to B5s were...

Theres a huge fuse for the windows up behind drivers side of the dash if i remember, you need to screw off the bottom of the dash from the ignition to the pedals. It should be somewhere up high to the right.

How did it die?? By sludge??

I know the yellow plugs you mean but theres definately no plug on the seat and I cant see any of the loom coming from under the carpet. I'll be pulling the seat out tomorrow to see if its there or been cut back.

Well that was my next question!! Does facelift models have side airbags as standard?? This one doesnt, but if it was a case of both front seats having been replaced would the vagcom not show up both front seat ignitors?

Ive got a facelift here thats putting on the airbag light. Had it scanned by VAGCOM and it shows the 'passenger seat ignitor'. Only problem is the car isnt fitted with side airbag seats?? Any suggestions?

Turns out the windows are connected to the c/locking system which I had disconnected in the boot so windows no worky!! All good to go now...

Anyone tell me where the fuse for the windows are?? They dont seem to be in the fusebox.

Heres my old 1.8T Sport which was sadly wrote off last year. Jaipurrot pearl, code LZ3S, which strangly comes up with different names depending which country your in! Grr, having trouble up loading picture.

Anyone out there have 10 or 12mm spacers to suit A4? I picked up a set of A3 alloys without realizing that theyre ET56!! Checked the price of new ones and im not a happy chappy. So anyone with an unwanted set give me a shout please...

Get it closed quick before it rains!! Id check the fuse and if not use the little cranking tool that should be in the fusebox at side of dash.

Thanks scott very much. i think i need part 8 if its referring to the metal bracket not the rubber mount. i cant see from the list on the right what 8 is.

The rear exhaust silencer on my car has broken its mounting bracket. its rusted through. its the triangle shaped metal bracket thats attached to the body. im hoping this is a separate part. could somebody please check. thanks.

On the old one it says T112B and the one I think is right for me is this on ebay;VW & AUDI 1.8T 1.8 CAM CAMSHAFT TIMING CHAIN TENSIONER | eBay. It seems to list from 97 which would be AEB up to 00 which would mean APU i presume?? Although the pic is very slightly different to mine.
