Quick update - disconnected the battery for a few seconds, reconnected and no change. Checked the fusebox and found a blown fuse - replaced it (15A) but it made no difference - think it's for the ciggy lighter. Any ideas? I'm stuck!

The car was fine last night, but when I turned it on this morning it wouldn't blow any air, hot or cold, from the vents no matter where I set the controls. If I set it to say, 27 degrees, and put the fan up full, nothing comes out but the fan speed indicator counts up to where I set it, then...

Fella says it'll take an hour - I work in (building) air-con and have seen what happens when you pull too hard a vacuum - condensor/pipe collapse. I'm just going to get him to suck it out, then regas it and add the oil - if it makes no noticable improvement then he won't get paid, simple as that.

Has anyone any idea what their current regas prices are? I'm sure mine could be colder, now that I've actually fixed it - but it's had a fair few disposable cans thrown in over the years and I'd like everything sucked out and the exact amount of gas put in, so I'll drop by tomorrow. Don't mind...

Seems it was the condensor fan connections after all - it's now blowing cold! Not quite as cold as I'd like, but I'll take it down to matey boy tomorrow and have him check the gas levels again, in case he put in too little due to the high temps in the condensor (s)!

Could be - I've temporarily spliced it (turned out to be 4 core) together and the car is now running on "low" in the driveway, condensor fan buzzing away - but I don't know if it was buzzing before! Going to give it ten minutes to cool the condensor down, as I'm sure a 15 mile crawl home with...

Oh - I should add, the regassing guy said there was plenty in there, but still vacuumed it and regassed it just in case. So no leaks.
