Exactly that.
The effort/reward has to outweight the cost at this point.
TBH I'm almost at the point where someone with the right offer could take it away just to save the hassle.
I had that thought myself. But the original wheels were stolen along with loads of other stuff when the 'metal merchants' robbed my yard.
Unless someone wants to swap wheels I suppose.
Timeframe is an issue in that I could do with it out of the way asap.
Just don't want to give it away. But I guess if someone came along with a reasonable offer it'd go just to save the hassle.
Hello folks.
Been a while.
I still have my R plate A4 Avant 2.8 Quattro auto.
I'm about to emigrate so need to move it on one way or another.
It's not the best example you've seen but certainly isn't the worst either.
I'll post up all details if required of course.
Basically it needs a damn...
If they're NGKs as well the next colder plug would be a 7 so BKR7E
And I agree, using fancier/costlier plugs isn't my choice unless the yare required for the type of use they'll be getting.
For a normal(ish) road car the standard NGKs are plenty good enough.
I am old but most of my cars are noisier than that, all with s/s exhausts etc... so it's not volume related.
But that just sounds like a noisy diesel. Nothing more than that.
Cheers jcb.
What do you want for the wiper arms?
I have seen some on the bay of e for around a tenner but if yours are reasonable I'd rather deal with a known quantity ;-)
I'll grab the fault code of the laptop later and post it here, see if it's the same fault as you mention. IIRC it is.
Just...
Unfortunately two os those aren't options.
Insurance. Trade insurance doesn't cover glass. So any claim would be full excess of £250.
So maybe look for a scrapper and grab the screen and get it fitted by the local fitters.
Beating toe-rag. Well I'm probably moving abroad soon so the criminal...
Everyone loves a good back-story these days right?
Anyway here's mine (so you can skip this bit if you prefer)..
Was out of the country for a while and then spent the last couple of months in/out of hospital (going in again in a few weeks) so only just getting to sort some recent issues...
OK, but it won't hurt to check again.. or even just swap them over and try it. Mine was correct according to some sources as well.. shame those sources were wrong.
But I can't force you to try it.
Check the order of the ht leads.
During my recent ordeals I achieved a similar state of running at one point.
Two leads out of order can cause those exact symptoms.
Damn it... so got a nice little misfire just off idle now.. will have to plug it in and scan it again I suppose.
Fixed the rear washer leak by plugging the connector back together in the kick panel.
What sort of idiot decides to put a fluid pipe through a bunch of electrical connectors... and...
Having bigger going into smaller makes no sense at all and will hurt more than help.
If anything an exhaust should get bigger along it's length.. but never smaller.
No ideas about the MAF as I haven't unplugged it since it's been runing almost completely properly.
Coolant temp sensor was changed same time as the cambelt etc.. maybe 5k miles ago
So took it for the short drive to the MoT station expecting all sorts of minor(or major) issues after having it sat still for so long.
Got the usual square wheel feeling for a while and the autobox had a few indecisions.
But generally it was far better than I had expected.
Also passed the MoT...
