It really depends on the rim width. For an A3/S3 8P, 8.5 width with et45 is about close to your limit, and if you want to drop it you will need to run 215 or 225 rubber.
An 8in wheel with ET35 will stick out only 4mm more than the 8.5in ET45.

I thought that both the pre-facelift and post-facelist S3's had the same grilles. I know the bumpers are different though.

I need new wheels but I can't find anyone that has RS4 reps in stock except for VMR V708s ET35. (Im in Sydney Australia BTW).
I am after VMR V708s but the ET45 & ET48 are out of stock.
So quickly, will the ET35 fit? and if so im guessing I will need to go 215 rubber right?

I was considering the 235s for drivability. I have been running 215s for a while and I want get a bit of comfort back into the drive.
