More S3 woes..
After about an hour of driving the esp light started flashing the the car felt like it lost power so I decided to pull over. But on pressing the brake the ABS was going mental and you could hear grinding and buzzing noises, sounded like the abs pump wanted to eat itself!! Tried...
Ive just crawled under to have a look but I cant see any any particular place that its coming from. Its not obvious like out of the sump plug. I really need to get it on a lift or over a ramp.
Got a bit of an issue
Finally got around to changing my haldex oil and filter as my wheels were locking up on turning. Not that hard of a job and it cured my locking issues, happy days. But next day noticed a blotch of haldex oil on the drive, far more than in if was just over filled. Then more...
Right, i have both of the above issues. For the knock on acceleration im fairly sure its a gearbox mount, im hoping it is anyway. Ive already changed the dogbone mount for a red powerflex one and it helped a bit but not fully.
The loose wheel and scraping noise on my count was a loose hub nut...
The connection in the switch in the dash can be tempermental especailly if any tinkering has been done with it. Try take the switch cluster out and have a play around to see if the connector is a bit dodgy.
I made bits of both my tube and the dipstick itself. ive a new tube on now and the dipstick is taped up for the time being. It never caused a high idle though at any point. I suppose its not flagging any codes?
Right finally extracted the digit yesterday and went to fit my shiny new dogbone bush. Went to remove the lower strut brace but couldnt remove the bolts. One just spun in the captive and wouldnt unscrew, I managed to unscrew the other bolt enough to remove the dogbone mount but couldnt screw it...
No relay, they work off the pressure from the water. There is a slight delay while your waiting for the pressure to build. If they still dont work its probable the pump in the washer bottle itself is gone.
Sounds like the oil feed to your turbo might be shot especially when you oil pressure light comes on. I would get that looked at asap, oil light is never good to see as vital parts of your engine may be starved and damaged.
It definately sounds like the fuse on the battery. the green fuse furthest on the left. When mine went I took it out and it just looked slightly corroded but it was enough to stop the connection. New fuse and bingo.
No its only when the car is left sitting for a while or when warm, so its either a fuel problem, crank sensor or timing issue. Ive replaced everything else it could be!!!
Well If it flagged the g28 on vagcom it definately would have made a difference. Could you give me the link to those cheapie sensors, im just doing a bit of troubleshooting on my own wagon. If it wasnt detonating for too long it should be ok but as a precaution I would get it checked out (or at...
The G28 sensor is the crank sensor located under the oil filter. It communicates with the cam sensor on engine speed and position and the likes. When it goes it often caused starting problems. pricey ****** though!
