1. Concert II+ Radio (done!)
2. Double DIN cage - ebay or scrapyard/breakers
3. Double dib Ashtray (with brushed metal lidâ¦) - you don't need an ashtray, you need the bit that fits behind the ashtray, i just cut mine down
4. Wiring Adapter for the radio - kufatec.de OR ebay...
Just a quick question, just helped out a friend installing power folding mirrors to his b6, and now well I want them.
Does anyone who has done the same on their b7 know the part numbers for the door modules required? Or if they have them on their car already if they could give me the...
I guess it depends whether you think the s-line shocks/spring combo is good enough, personally i find it crashy, also there is an argument that just fitting springs without the uprated shocks, will possibly cause early failure of standard shocks. So I believe theyrecommended is you fit a full...
as a fellow 3.0tdi i am very interested to hear your results, i am in a similar position and wasn't going to do it, but its very tempting, plus i don't really like the s-line suspension, find it quite crashy.
whats made you you just go for the springs? and not for shocks as well?
Try disconnecting the battery again, and reconnecting.
Mine sometimes stops working if the battery has been disconnected, at the same time my mfsw stops working. just reconnecting seems to fix it.
was that from the dis or done properly?
all i know is that my golf was 32mpg at best, and i know i am doing better than that just because i am spending less on fuel a month. but because you have got me thinking, im gonna do it properly, and start calculating for a while, so we can do a proper...
Hi,
I have a set of fat fives in my shed, which I am not using. no tyres, and need a refurb which I was planning on doing....but will sell for the right price.
gimme a pm.
Either cut it from another car which has the loom.
Build your own
or do what i did, buy it off KUFATEC GmbH & Co. KG - pricey but just easier! done this on a few cars of mine.
Just to put it into context, in my 3.0tdi I get closer to 50mpg on a long motorway run, quite easily, even on my daily drive to work its over 42mpg (indicated on the clocks) - mines a manual btw.
Personally i'd be looking at things like the EGR, Maf, thermostat and temperature sender before...
How do they feel? better than s-line?
I feel i need to get some....had coils on my golf, not sure what i want to go down that route again......whereas yours looks easily as good, whats the drop? -45?
not sure one 1. but 2. sounds possible, if i remember right like a stretched chain problem....its apparently quite common on the s4 engine. (look up b6 s4 engine rattling) or something similar.
though ready to be proven wrong...
