problem solved! I've taken all the trim out, taken the loom from the passat and put it into my a4 not as bad as I thought turned the key and sweet as a nut I guess next time I'll read up about it more. cheers :blackrs4::arco:

ok corection my audi does have a transponder coil around my ignition barrel but under the dash near my ignition I have a white box of tricks thats no doubt part of the imobiliser setup. but on the passat I can't find a white box could it be that on the passat its all linked to the clocks???

Hello to all I've just put a passat turbo engine into my a4 the prob is the passat imobiliser is a transponder that reads the key by a coil round the ignition barrel. But my a4 is diffrent is there any way of bypassing it of patching it in?????????????????????????????????????? please help:readit:
